    Lapis was born on a silent night, close to midnight, everything seemed fine, she was healthy and strong, but yet... another girl. Her father had only female children, and even so gender only was a minor issue, he wanted a boy. Lapis grew up in her sisters shadow, after Lapis sixth birthday her mom gave birth to a pair of twins, first a girl, but finally a boy. It seemed like everything was fine. But shortly after her mom and eldest sister died in a socalled accident, Lapis is not entirely sure if thats true, she doesnt have any evidence however.

    Due to the loss, her father began travelling much, taking the eldest sister and his son with him, leaving the rest back at home, due to Lapis and Jade's young age they were watched by their widdowed uncle. Lapis had never shown anything out of the ordinary, except her eyes, they were as the stone she was called as. Blue with gold strains.

    Her uncle soon began watching Lapis naked in her preteens, Jade wasnt that old, so he had no interest in her, Lapis didnt like it, but he never touched her, luckily. But he painted and sketched her down several times. She was so embarressed she didnt dare to tell it. Her emotions began growing aswell as her isolation, as she began only hanging with Jade, to protect her. Already her older sisters didnt care, but now they seemed even further away.

    One day when Lapis had gotten into her middle teens, she caught her uncle sketching Jade. Somehow something went wrong, and Lapis for the first time showed her powers, killing her uncle in the process.

    Afterwards the family got the incident burried away from the newspapers aswell as the common tongue, but Lapis was no longer seen as a part of the family, even if she still lived there, and Jade had gotten insane, which she ended up in a asylum.

    Lapis began wander the woods to practice her now growing powers, and visited her sister Jade as much as possible. The rest of her family barely spoke to her ever since... she was a freak in their eyes.
