  • Advantages

    Masochist. What it says on the tin. It makes beating him up very uncomfortable-- why's he gotta moan like that when you punch him in the face?-- unless... you know, you're into that sort of thing. (+2 Intimidate when in physical pain, unless you're into it, in which case +2 Charisma, assailant gets +1 Melee and +1 Brawl)

    Party Eyes. Everyone likes to have a good time, right? Lose yourself for a few hours, or nights, or weeks. He's having a great time. You should have a great time with him, right now. (+1 Dementation when under the influence of party drugs--ecstasy, methamphetamines, cocaine, ect.)

    The Roadmaster. There is only one nice, well-kept item that Joachim owns; A 1994 Buick Roadmaster station wagon in black with wooden side panels, outfitted for vigilante justice. The third row of seating has been partitioned off to be a makeshift holding cell capable of containing a rowdy ne'er do well much like a proper police vehicle. He keeps assorted weaponry and tools of his trade in the trunk and glove box, as well as many hidden compartments, and occasionally lives out of it.
  • Disadvantages

    Addict.* The Embrace has done little to cure him of his bad habits; It has only prolonged his suffering until Final Death. Roll at the top of each scene to determine if he has gotten his fix or is experiencing withdrawals(1d20, 1-5 means fix acquired, 6-10 phase 1 withdrawal, 11-15 phase 2 withdrawal, 16-20 phase 3 withdrawal).

    Phase 1: -1 to Intelligence, Perception, Dexterity, and Stamina.

    Phase 2: -2 to Intelligence, Perception, Dexterity, and Stamina. -1 Health.

    Phase 3: -3 to Intelligence, Perception, Dexterity, and Stamina. -2 Health.

    Observational Overload. When no detail goes unnoticed, they often become overwhelming. There is such a thing as seeing too much. (After a successful perception roll, -2 to subsequent rolls.)

    The Legend of Florida Man. His decades in Miami, Florida are especially colorful. Between getting the alligators of the Everglades hooked on meth and stealing over $33,000 in rare coins only to pour them into a CoinStar machine for $29.30, among other misadventures, he has made a name for himself in all the worst ways. Not to mention the headaches and expense of covering up his crimes to preserve the Masquerade. (-1 to all social rolls with Kindred aware of his storied past, which is almost everyone.)

    Outcast. His arrival onto the LA scene was memorable-- for everyone but himself-- enough that the Prince has declared him an Outcast, and as such he does not enjoy the rights and privileges afforded by the Camarilla. For all intents and purposes, he is a pariah until he redeems himself in the eyes of the Prince. (-1 to all social rolls with Camarilla Kindred, stacks with Legend of Florida Man.)

    An amnesia loop.* Our poor detective has a terrible habit of forgetting himself entirely every few years-- He keeps himself together, following scraps of clues, little hunches, hazy dreamt-up truths, until it seems he's uncovered whatever terrible secret he's keeping from himself. Whatever it is, upon recovering his memory, he goes into a psychotic fugue state, frantically trying to erase himself from his memory in a blaze of debauched glory. It's quite the spectacle and apparently very effective, given he has succeeded in inducing his own amnesia multiple times now.
