• General Information

  Alyra, or Aly for short, is an Aurin Stalker, currently working as a Scientist, trying to help the Exiles uncover the secrets of Nexus in order to wrench control of the planet away from the Dominion and perhaps enable her people with the advanced technology needed to help bring them back to their homeworld.
  Alyra is 25 years old, and has been working for the Exiles since she was 20.
  
  Alyra stands relatively tall for a female Aurin, topping out at about 5'5" without her ears. She has a fairly slender build, with more shape in her bust, hips, and thighs, than normal; probably due to her love of food. Her hair falls in soft curls to just below her lower back, in a soft, lavender color. Her ears are tall and slender, about 8" in length from base to tip. Her tail is similarly colored, with a silver clasp on the end adorned with engraved music notes.
  Alyra's eyes are a piercing green color, offset by the purple color in her hair, and made to look all the more piercing. Her eyes are almond shaped, with long, full lashes. Often said to be the most stoic part of her visage, her eyes give nothing away save what she wants others to see.
  Her mouth is full with plump, but not oversized, lips, that offer smiles once in a while, but can often be found twisted into a thoughtful line.
  
  
  Alyra was born on the planet Arboria, 16 years before the Dominion came and took over. She was one of the eldest children of her parents, and as such, she was one of the calmer children. She spent a lot of time shadowing her father, who's job it was to maintain the local farm for their community. From his careful study of the flora on Arboria, she learned much about watching and learning, and translated that to her relationships with her siblings. While she was not as rambunctious as the others, she used their attitudes to her advantage, often convincing them to do small tasks for her, and then feigning innocence when they were caught. Alyra was a chubby child, and because of this, she was often put on small diets. She would convince her younger siblings to steal food for her because of this. Also due to this, she was not a particularly confident child, and some of those physical hangups follow her still to this day.
  
  Alyra spent most of her time during her childhood running around with two other Aurin around the same age as she, Kanko and Najia. They would often get into trouble and terrorize the others around them by pulling pranks and stealing various foodstuffs. When the planet was sacked, the three of them were separated, and she hasn't seen them again since, although she still thinks about them often.
  
  On the day that the Dominion came and broke her home, Alyra was away from her siblings and parents. She managed to hide from the Dominion's forces for a time, until she managed to escape the planet with a group of others fleeing their home to find refuge with the Exiles. She ended up on one of the transport ships, but much separated from the rest of her family. She did not run into any of them for quite some time, and instead became quite independent, running small jobs, pickpocketing, and eventually, joining the Academy. While on the ship, Alyra was bullied mercilessly, and by befriending an experimental scientist on board, was unwittingly injected with nanites. While she was unsure of what was happening to her, she soon found that her new found reflexes enabled her to get revenge on the bullies, and work on her stealthy stealing skills as well. On the side, Alyra still enjoyed singing, and found that she could earn extra coin here and there by singing at small social gatherings or in taverns.
  
  As Alyra grew up, her baby fat fell from her form, and she grew to be quite an attractive woman, although she couldn't see it in herself. She had always needed to rely on her cunning and wit to get by, and so even with the added looks, she never relied heavily on those to get along. Because of this, she also developed a strong distaste for individuals who did scoot by on their looks alone, seeing it as a crutch instead of honing their own talents.
  
  Alyra could be said to be flighty and distant by people who don't know her. Often times, her nose is pressed in a book, or huddled over some sort of equipment, taking a reading or analyzing some culture. In truth, however, this outwardly cold exterior hides a deeply emotional person.
  Alyra, once warmed up to a person, is a highly loyal individual, but also one who is highly vindictive should she be crossed. She could make a great friend, and a fierce enemy.Only a few people have ever seen either of those sides of her, however. (P.S.-If you'd be interested in playing either one of those roles, hit me up!)
  Alyra does have a sense of humor, ranging from dry and cynical, to silly and dirty. She enjoys spending time with people, but her social awkwardness makes her someone who doesn't really know how to interact in every situation.
  When placed in a situation of high stress, Alyra will step up to leadership if no one else will. She believes in fighting for the cause and working hard to make sure that everything falls into place. She will most often try to get others to follow her with a humorous joke and a smile. This, however, often hides a deeper passion for what she is doing, her motivations kept mostly to herself and a few close companions.
  Alyra also has a quirky relationship with food. Having been a chubby child growing up, she tries to avoid overeating, but can often be found with some sort of food near her, whether it be fruit, bread, vegetables...whatever. She will also not turn down any sweets if offered, even though if caught eating them, she will often blush and stammer. If she lived a more sedentary lifestyle, she would possibly go back to being overweight, but she is active enough on her quest to aid the Exile forces to maintain a heavier, but still healthy weight.

  "That girl? She's sweet and all, but she's so oblivious sometimes..."
  "Have you ever seen her eat!? I swear she put away two sandwiches, a steak, and STILL looked hungry!"
  "She certainly enjoys reading. That's why she helps to run the Library. Seems to know where everything there is as well. It's a shame she can't remember much else."
  "I hear she's got some sort of history with that White-haired Aurin. I don't know what she'd have to do with him though. They seem to be complete opposites."
  "She used to be FAT. I don't know what she did to tone up, but maybe she could put me on her diet...although it doesn't look like much of a diet at all..."

  "I've heard her mention some things that she can't have learned on her own...and I could have sworn that I saw her out on the outskirts of the town late at night. Must have been one of those other crazy pink-haired Aurin. The place is crawling with them."
  "I've heard her out in the forest nearby, sometimes just singing to the plants. I wouldn't have thought anything of it, her being an Aurin and all...but her voice...not something I would soon forget."
  "For all she says she doesn't know, she's pretty handy with a computer and a holopad. She programmed the library inventory system in no time at all..."

  "I heard she'd probably would have a running record with the Dominion, if she'd ever been caught. She's been hired more than once to gather information from them."
