Aries Marx

This page will be used to explain more of Aries/Henry's relationships with some of the other crew members that are aboard the Zephyr, as well as what he knows about them.

Leo is Aries' younger sister by nine years, and there is very little that he does not know about her that are significant to their relationship. Leo was always a soft spoken girl in the past who just really enjoyed doing what she could to help support both her father and brother in the best ways that she was taught how, or in ways that she forced herself to learn -- cooking, cleaning, sewing.

Though Leo never got a chance to really know their mother, Aries said that all he could remember were some of the songs she sang, and how she was always so gentle whenever she came home with their father on some occasions. When their father passed later in their lives, Aries pushed himself as hard as he could, did his best to comfort and reassure Leo that they would still manage, and did everything in his power to make sure they could keep surviving.

All Aries wanted for Leo was to make sure she was safe, fed, protected, and had a place that they could all call home. Zephyr became that for them.

Aries was starting to teach Leo how to better defend herself in hand-to-hand as well as sword fighting before her untimely passing.

Aquarius is the first member of the Zephyr that Aries really ever met. In fact, she is the one that gave him the name 'Aries' -- just like she gives names to all of the other members of the crew in accordance to what constellation she feels they represent. Suffice to say, however, Aquarius has known Henry's real name for some time, and has been the reason that Henry has been a part of Zephyr for so long.

Aquarius has a kind heart, though a bit of a mean streak if one really gets to know her. Her ferocity is usually saved for those that deserve it -- at least from Henry's perspective.

The muscle and the keeper of peace more times than not, Sagittarius is generally the one to keep people level-headed as well as on track to the best of his abilities. He typically follows along after Aquarius' rule and say, happy to follow rather than to lead. Aries does find this an admirable display of loyalty by Tarius, but also an admirable statement on Aqua's leadership quality.

Aries knows that he can count on Tarius, and sometimes comes to him for information or any advice that he feels the older individual might have to offer.

The more eloquent and dignified member of the crew, Aries always seemed to look to Taurus when it concerned meeting things with grace. Ironic, given Taurus' name in the overall scheme of things. However, as dignified and as refined as Taurus was, whenever he got riled, there would be hell to pay. Aries knew never to get on Taurus' bad side, lest the bull within him awaken.

Taurus was the first person that Aries consulted when he lost his eye. Luckily, Taurus was able to assist Aries the best way he knew how. With help with his younger sister, Virgo, they managed to patch Aries up and get him back into working form.

When it comes to Virgo, however, Aries knows that she is a seductress, and quite good at her role. Aries has been led on a couple of times by Virgo, and has learned to keep his guard up around her. Along with being a good at seduction, she is also a handy pickpocket who holds to reservations about when she will strike. Aries has been robbed several times during training with her in particular.

Over time, however, Aries has gotten close to Virgo and has been able to learn more about her. He is open with her, and now that they are no longer sparring partners, and can actually spend time with one another, Aries does all that he can in order to spend what time he gets with Virgo. It is more than obvious, though Aries does fancy Virgo quite a lot, however, they have yet to really admit anything to one another, so have not committed to anything.

• Frank and Valerie are five years apart with Frank being the elder of the two
• Their parents were murdered in an arson attack against their town
• Valerie enjoys dancing and singing
• Frank likes keeping a sense of organisation over everything
• Frank paints rather well with oils and pastels
• Valerie enjoys the scent of oranges and cinnamon
• Valerie fancies both men and women

The youngest that Aries knows of, Capricorn is a sprightly thing that is always eager to serve and please... even if Aquarius has already insisted that Cap can settle down and relax for a bit on some days when he has not other obligations. Capricorn can almost always be seen on most days asking what he could do next, or if someone can teach him something that he knows they are better than him at.

At the moment, Aries is one of the people that teaches Capricorn how to wield a sword and how to effectively use it. Currently, the training is going well. Aries is hoping that he can get into hand-to-hand combat training with Capricorn at some point in the future.

• Teddy has always been a bit of an overachiever
• Teddy pestered his way into joining the Zephyr crew to better himself
• There never really seems to be all that much that bothers Teddy
  • Like, really... Aries has tried to get under his skin and irritate or dissuade him from certain things

One misty morning, there was a commotion, and during that commotion, Aries rescued a young woman that was being chased by others. This woman would later be indebted to the one-eyed man that rescued her, and she would jump at the opportunity to join him. As time passed and the crew grew to accept her, she was given the name of 'Pisces' as an official welcome to the crew.

Though Pisces seems to follow along after Aries whenever he is around, she tends to also like being where she can cook and prepare different meals for those on the Zephyr in a general sense. Pisces always tends to go out of her way to ensure that Aries gets the better meal out of all the ones that she prepares.

• She is infatuated with Aries -- perhaps for the wrong reasons
• Sarah is actually pretty scary when it comes to throwing cutlery
  • That is to say she is exceedingly good at it
• Sarah will always go out of her way to tend to something Aries needs that she knows she can do

Cancer and Gemini are siblings as well -- brothers. Cancer being the eldest of the two, he generally does what he can to take more responsibility out of the both of them. It reminds Aries greatly of how he would act when it concerned both he and his younger sister, Leo. Aries feels a bit more of a kinship with Cancer, and has eventually started to see Gemini as something like a little brother figure.

It has also been apparent to Aries that both Cancer and Gemini work well together, and have been able to hold their own for quite some time. When working together, they have been able to topple Sagittarius, and even outwitted Aquarius on occasion. When it comes to Aries, they have worked together in order to take advantage of his blind spot as well as his physical weaknesses.

Libra is an enigma to the highest degree to Aries. He is not sure how she joined the Zephyr, she is not sure what her name is, and he is not even sure why she wishes to be a part of the crew. There is actually very little that Aries knows, and attempts to get to know Libra have mostly fallen flat. She is a woman of few words, and it seems that she is more than content keeping it that way.

Aries is uncertain how to really approach Libra, though he has seen that she puts out effort, as well as has an affinity for the crew. He has seen her stick her neck out for the others, as well as provide for the others when there has been nothing really happening.

Scorpio was a member that had potential in the beginning when he was let onto the Zephyr crew. Aquarius was looking forward to having Scorpio work more on board, and even Aries was starting to like Scorpio over time. Scorpio did mostly as he was told, and put out decent enough effort. His skills were also an asset to the crew, what with survival being his forte.

However, it was evidently not meant to be. After the assault and murder of Leo, Scorpio was restrained and locked away, left for Aries to do with him as he pleased. Though Scorpio did not seem to give the satisfaction of suffering to Aries, Aries did feel better after killing Scorpio by his own hands.
