Appearance: Yona has a smaller, more muscular build, with strong legs and lean arms. Yona has a slightly shorter-than-average height, as her growth stumped when she gained most of her muscle as a teen. She has short, messy, slightly faded black hair that she cuts herself every once in a while, using a sharp blade. Softly tanned skin, large, bright golden eyes, and a small nose. Yona's tall furry ears are quite sensitive and covered in scratches and tiny cuts. Her black tail broadens out towards the tip, which is a slightly-off white. She has small hands, very thin fingers, and over them, black leather gloves.
Outfit: Yona's outfits are quite simple, and she is usually found donned in a very thin black longsleeve underneath a black button-up jacket whose sleeves reach only just beneath her elbows, and are puffy and a few sizes too large. She typically either wears short pants or long legging-type pants underneath her shorts. Most of the time she wears black or white leather combat boots, and her long light blue scarf, which she's had for as long as she can remember. She also has some alternate outfits, all of which consist of monochromatic colors, such as blouses, sweaters, etc. (see Gallery for more visuals)
Often times her hood and a bandana covering her nose and mouth covers her face.
Equipment: Medium-sized kunai throwing daggers, a wood cross bow, and a medium-length curved knife-blade. In battle, she wears simple thin plates of silver armor on her chest, shoulders, elbows, knees, the back of her hands, and forearms where her jacket's sleeves stop. They are bound to her with wide brown leather straps and brass buckles. Occasionally uses a silver knuckle-equipment that have thin spikes on them.
Personality: Yona could be seen as very aggressive and cut off to strangers that first meet her. She grew up in a small, peaceful village, and only experienced one culture, one race, one landscape, one lifestyle. She has never showed any signs of wanting to leave, and the fox never has. So if she ever did, she would be either hesitant, shocked, maybe a little scared, or quite possibly fully willing to. Yona is also oblivious to the fact that many other types of magic exist. In her village, there have been many stories and myths about elemental magic, as well as light and dark magic, but any other specialty magic has been completely unheard of, as anyone who has left has never come back, nor is heard from at all.
Though Yona is first aggressive, this is only a defensive mechanism. Yona has a hard time understanding others a lot of the time, and seems quite alien in a crowd. Perhaps it's the ears and tail, the dark, thief-like looking clothing, maybe even the weapons she always carries, but if it was to be only one thing, it would be how foreign she seems. She doesn't seem to mind, though. She was never one to pay attention to details concerning herself.
As bitter as she may sound, Yona does actually get along nicely with anyone who is willing to spend time with her or lend her a hand. She typically has a clear mind and knows what she wants, and her lifestyle has taught her patience. Despite this, she is alert always, and is relatively calm under pressure.
Yona is a bit unpredictable, and likes to try new things, even if a bit hesitant at first.
Since she has little experience socializing, she isn't a master at detecting lies, or when people try to trick or lure her, though she can sense when an atmosphere has gone corrupt, or when something is wrong. She isn't likely to fall into temptation, either. Also, because she or any of her people have never been exposed to other towns or kingdoms, she isn't as immune to foreign diseases or poisons, so her immune system is weaker to most illnesses.
Bio: {varies depending on the roleplay} Yona grew up in a small, peaceful fox village, surrounded by a thick forest and is well hidden, a bit distant from any big kingdoms, with very few other tribes dotting in the forest around them. Many different kinds of plants and foreign animals lurk among this forest, and it is vey out of the way, so it is very uncommon for people to cross through it. The forest that surround’s Yona’s village has a huge impact on the culture and myths of her village.
She grew up with very many brothers and sisters, and as a result, didn't receive much attention from her parents, and little to no information is known about them anymore.
Though she did get along with most of her other siblings, she grew up to be almost completely independent. When of age, almost all of her siblings settled in the other nearby tribes or moved to the kingdoms. Yona stayed back, moving into her own hut and providing for her self, as well as receive her fair share of crops grown by the local farmers, never leaving her hometown.
The small hometown hails in a big mass of mild forest, parallel to the nearest ocean, a few hundred miles south. In the past, the tribe would get lucky and birth either a fire or water magic wielder, who would then become a bigger part of the town's government system. This occurrence is unlikely but the information has been passed down for as long as the town has existed. From fire and water magic, come subgroups such as ice, but none of the town's records hold any information about ice magic or any fire or water subgroups.
As of the town's records on magic, they are very sparse. Though a relatively long list of previous users are kept safe by the town, there still have been unrecorded users and townspeople who are unknown and undocumented. Not much is documented in the town's public records about magic users, such as why or how they got their magic, and why they have shortened lifespans, cannot reproduce or pass down their magic, why there have been cases of people completely losing or gaining the magic after birth or childhood, when their magic usually manifests.
As a young preteen, she realized her strong talents in magic, whereas most of her siblings found their passions and abilities early on, with either weaker magic or none at all. She had little control over what she had, and Yona devoted her self to her magic for the remaining years she still had left as a minor. She kept her talents hidden and told none about them.
