  Krotalo is from an area where there are significantly more males born than females, and to compensate for this imbalance, one out of every four males is born with a vaginal opening below his sheath. They lack any other form of female organs and cannot get pregnant, the opening is strictly recreational. For him as a slave, it is not something he is very open about, in the Tether Talo sees it as more of a vulnerability than asset.
  
  Krotalo is Esperanto for Rattlesnake. He was named that after being found as a hatchling by a pair of traveling humanoids, and the name stuck even after he was reunited with his clan.
  
  He has sensory organs in his mouth, the upper pallet specifically, and by pulling in air, can sense many things. Hormones, emotions through perspiration, etc.
