IS THE MOST POWERFUL SCREAM
Ava Elizabeth Bowen, born September 21st, 1990, is the first and only child of Lucien and Sylvia Bowen (née Morgenstern). She spent her childhood years as the center of attention, loved by everyone surrounding her and with a small, but steady group of friends whom she confided in and turned to in times of need. She thrived in school, receiving outstanding report-cards each week and rarely getting herself into trouble, which was a true blessing to her busy parents, who, sadly, barely realised how easily they got through the parenting-bit of having children. Ava practically raised herself, although Lucien and Sylvia took all the credit for her angelic behaviour, and for a while that worked out for the three of them. But as Ava began developing strange, unnatural abilities at the late age of 10, things changed for the worse. Her parents, both very aware of their reputation, were in denial at first and came up with all sorts of explanations as to why the lights in young Avas room would switch on and off at strange hours, or when an electronic device would malfunction at her touch.
Embarrassment came next, and some would say with reason. Her parents rarely let her leave the house, because her cry would make her hair all static and her scream (that be one of anger, fear or joy) would almost certainly break something. They took her out of school, and her mother left her job in order to teach her from home. Ava, who was only a young girl still, was devastated to leave her friends behind, but her parents assured her, that is was all for the better. As she grew used to being alone (and even more used to being lonely), she started to agree with them. Her self-image shattered completely, and the once bright-eyed girl grew timid and insecure, afraid of the abilities bestowed upon her and even more afraid of what her parents might do or say to her if she ever came foreward. Long story short, she grew up believing her abilities were something to be ashamed of. Something that could do nothing but harm people, and so she let her parents lock her away.

It was not until she turned 16 she realized the potential for things to be different. She had been in a rare, but huge, fight with her father regarding her ever so strict curfew, when she overheard a piece in the news about an unknown individual with strange, unexplainable powers, who had entered a burning building against all odds and come out alive, carrying with him two small children without as much as a scratch. She almost could not believe her own ears, but it took little to no research to confirm it; there were people like her out there, who embraced their powers and used them to help others. And right then she knew, that she was meant to join them.
If you ask her, she does not owe her parents a damn thing, except maybe her education. Had it not been for Lucien being a well-esteemed lawyer, she would probably not have had a clue where to go or what to do when she left home. She filed a lawsuit against them, stating a wish to become her own legal guardian - a wish that was granted just after her 17th birthday. Her parents protested, of course, but only in order to protect their own name and reputation, and after judgement day they cut her off both socially and financially.
Since then she has been making her own way. It has not always been easy, especially not at first, but she got a job at a local café and found a small place to live. Her neighbourhood is not particularly nice, with muggings and harassment on the streets being a regular thing, and her landlord gives her hell on a daily basis, but it's still better than rubbing elbows with her parents every day.
In 2009 she received a schollarship to study at the science and technology department of Central City University (CCU), from where she graduated with honours in 2015. Her education enables her to apply for jobs with much more decent salaries than her current one, but she has grown strangely fond of her humble way of living, and besides, she does not have time for that type of commitment because of her duties with Justice Society.

Ava is definitely someone who thinks carefully before she makes any kind of move. Whether that would be grocery shopping or related to a risky mission, she rarely heads into something without having thought out a plan ahead of time. From time to time she can be caught lost in thought, which is a result of her paying extreme amounts of attention to the people surrounding her and the world she lived in - sometimes she forgets herself in the process, though.

Being abandoned by her parents at a young age (to be fair, she abandoned them as well, but they were the ones to express not wanting her around), Ava grew up thinking she was worth less than other people. Whilst this was a hard realization, she has come to terms with the feeling, and in her adult-life she has come to like this part of her personality. In fact she is used to putting others' needs before her own, and she finds lots of joy in helping other people out as a human and a metahuman alike.

Ever since her 17th birthday, Ava has pretty much spent most days on her own, and whilst she is an introvert, who enjoys spending time with herself, it has grown into legit loneliness over the years. To begin with, she would manage through conversing with her cat, Cleo, but the truth of the matter is, that she has little to no friends, and she misses her more social childhood years, where she had people to turn to with her troubles.❧ T I M I D

Another side-effect of having lived with her abusive parents for so long was the effect their demeaning words has on her self-esteem. She was quite outgoing as a child, but after discovering her metahuman abilities, she turned shy and drew away from the crowds - a tendency which have stayed with her ever since. She finds herself terribly uncomfortable at big, social gatherings and is terrible at meeting new people.

Users are able to conduct, generate and manipulate energy resulting from the existence of charged particles, such as electrons or protons, which give the user control over electric fields, electric charges, electric currents, electronics, and electromagnetism.
⎨CHARGED PARTICLES MANIPULATION⎬Ava can manipulate all forms of electrical energy dwelling in all matter as charged particles. Being able to manipulate electrons and protons, she is able to control all matters in its state of form such as gas, liquid, solids and even plasma by guiding them or altering their form. Not only is this process extremely difficult to master, it also consumes a lot of energy and can potentially be dangerous if one isn't careful.
⎨ELECTRIC FIELD MANIPULATION⎬She can create, shape and manipulate electric fields, which includes the force that hold atoms together within objects, machines as well as the electrical field that surrounds and dwells in living beings. She can generate electrical fields of her own to form tangible force-fields and many other feats such as alter or move existing fields, or she can negate existing electric fields alltogether.

There she is able to contain it for a while and use it in various ways, either to gain the drained power for herself, use it as a power source or even regenerate some of her own energy from it.
