  • Putting it all Together

    The leanest section of the skinny is this:
    The Vessel is comprised of four characters, plus a spare body.

    To begin, there is the Ghost; the silvery wraith which binds the others together. It slips into and out of bodies, and is in possession of four hosts, or Vessels – each unique unto themself. They are as follows:

  • The First Vessel - Visith Gli. Called the Mouth.
    A prideful, viperish and frightfully single-minded scholar with some skill in the necromantic arts.

  • The Second Vessel - Taiel Sere. Called the Eye.
    A serene, but otherwise unassuming man possessed of a strange and keen Sight.

  • The Ghost transcends space and time, and is not consistently present within any of its hosts. When not inhabiting one of its Vessels, it most often manifests as a wispy, attenuated, vaguely human shape; androgynous, composed of smoke and light. It has also been known to appear as a snake, a swarm of dragonflies, and a shifting mass of pictographs hailing from an unknown language. Where applicable, it often appears to have three eyes.

    Its affectation is misty, buoyant, liquid, mercurial – its nature gentle, inquisitive and inhuman. Its presence is characterized by a very particular scent: cold, wet pewter and smoke; nacreous resins, pale fire, creosote and grit.

    Its defining Tarot is The Fool.
