She's often soft-spoken to most people, only showing her true quirky personality to those she considers friends. Her parents have been distant since the lost of their oldest daughter, and usually are very cold towards KK. She does nothing about this, however, choosing to blame their attitudes on their departed child. And Kitkat has a few of her own secrets as well... Maybe it's her hidden appendages that scared away all the kids in her home town? In any case, she is glad she moved to a new town with new people who don't know who -or what- she is. *This is where any RPs will pick up at*

  Summary of Kitkat's Story: Kitkat Draco is a naturally quiet 'freak-of-nature', as some would call her. She has wolf ears, a cat tail, and bird wings along with several animalistic traits and fast healing abilities. Her family -made up of a mother, father, and sister- take a terrible loss after Uncle Ed dies in a car crash. Just weeks later on the day after KK's 10th birthday, a man breaks into their house while their parents are out, and ends up killing Venice as KK hides. Her parents grow distant, taking to drinking their grief away, along with whatever drugs they do out of sight-, and KK falls into the worst kind of depression. She goes to her sister's grave every year to morn by herself until they move. Now, KK is almost completely mute, preferring to do whatever she's told without question, even accepting the abuse her parents started soon after they begin drinking. She juggles doing the house chores by herself while balancing school work as well. In terms of free time, she has little. Her insomnia provides hours of tortured thoughts to herself. When she leaves her home town years later because her parents decided to move, KK becomes saddened even further by the fact she won't be able to visit Venice anymore. Can some people get through her walls and befriend her, or just lift her spirits enough to take the edge off her harsh living system? That's up to you, my fellow RP characters~

  This is Kitkat's story-line:
  Kitkat is an unusual person -if you can even call her that!-. She has brown hair kept long enough that she sometimes sits on it that usually blocks 3/4ths of her face. She's quiet, but is good at 'blending in' when she's forced to. She likes to read, and do her school work, sitting as far back in the room as she can by a window, if available. She eats Pockys and Kitkat bars for lunch, often with a Romano soda.
  She wasn't always this way, however, or at least not to this extent.
  When she was younger, she had her hair cut to chin-level with her bangs just peaking over her eyebrows. She meant her smiles most of the times, often found with either her older sister, Venice, or in the woods around her child-hood home. They lived in a small-ish town where most people knew everyone else and change didn't often occur.
  Though Venice -emphasis on the second E- was a love-able, social butterfly whom most adored, her younger sister preferred not talking very much, only adding on to a few jokes or stories. Silence was natural to her.
  Their parents weren't rich, but made enough money for them to live very comfortably in society. They loved their children and her dad's brother, who visited a lot.
  By the time KK's 10th birthday came around, Uncle Ed had gotten into a car wreck, killing him on impact. This devastated the small family, throwing their father into a dark depression. On the day of her birthday -September 29th- Venice decided to dispel the gloom in the house. The older girl convinced her parents to go out to eat dinner together while she and KK stayed home and celebrate the younger sibling's b-day. She prepared her sister's favorite dinner, made cake, and bought ice cream. KK was told to secure the windows and doors when their parents left so she could get ready. So excited to do something fun, Kitkat forgets this, opting instead to prepare for dinner.
  While they had the lights cut off so KK could blow out the candles on her cake, both girls heard glass shattering from one of the rooms. Startled, Venice pushes her sister into the food pantry, telling her not to get out for anything while she checked out the noise. KK objected at first, but soon gave in to her sister's wishes.
  Waiting in the dark, KK heard Venice scream out, and a voice calmly speaking. It wasn't her father, so she curled up tightly, pushing her hands over her ears, doing her best to stay where she was.
  The police arrived too late. Venice was murdered by a man who had stolen things from the house. KK was soon found and questioned. Her parents got home, having received multiple calls from worried neighbors telling them to check in on the girls.
  The news tears all three remaining members of the Draco family apart. The mother follows the father's lead, taking to drinking heavily to grieve. Kitkat talks less and less every day, too upset that she didn't do anything to help her sister, even if it meant she would've died with her. The house gets messy, so much so that KK has to clean it all by herself, for her parents were too intoxicated to do it themselves.
  From that point on, her parents make her clean the house alone. She was to do the dishes, sweep the living room, kitchen, and bathroom daily, cook, and mop. On their not-so-good-days, she's forced to do more. KK does not complain, though. She takes responsibility for what happened, blaming herself so much that she's constantly beating down her confidence mentally, calling herself an uncaring monster. With her black wolf ears, black cat tail, and black bird wings -which appear and disappear at her will-, it's easy for her to believe.
  KK gets so depressed that she stopped caring about her grades. What once were A+'s became C's. This gets her parents angry. They yell at her, throwing empty beer bottles her way, demanding why she wasn't like Venice. Cowering in fear, she takes the abuse, refusing to cry in front of them. After they finish their fit, KK goes to her room and cries all through the night, telling herself she shouldn't be the one alive.
  She nearly commits suicide, but decides Venice wouldn't love her if she just left their parents alone, even if they have to put up with her. Over time, she lets them do whatever they wished on her from verbal abuse, to harsh physical punishments, to starvation. The only reason she is never hospitalized for her injuries is because of how fast she heals from the bruises and cuts. It's enough to drive her further into her depression, as she says she could have taken the attack that September day, so that they both would be alive. She is able to bring them back up, just as good as they were before, but only by sacrificing most of her free time.
  Every anniversary of her sister's death -and the day after her birthday- Kitkat visits her sister's grave to leave flowers, talk to her even though she'll never hear her voice, and grieves the entire day. After the move, however, she realizes she will no longer be able to go see her sister anymore.
  KK has little hope of making friends in her new town -as she never had any before- but who knows? Maybe she'll be greeted by people just as freaky as herself if fortune is with her this time. Venice used to call her beautiful and unique, but those qualities were lost with her sister. Perhaps someone can spark life back into this broken soul...

  • Lost Her September 30th 2011, 3:30 am

    I can't believe what happened.. I was told to start a journal to help with the grief so I don't loose my mind, but I've just lost my heart...
    Venice, my sister, was killed last night. I was hiding in the pantry, eyes shut to try and not hear her scream out. It's my fault! All my fault! I-I should have locked the doors like I was told..
    Now she's gone, and she's not coming back.
    Mom and Dad seem so drained. We lost Uncle Ed 2 weeks ago in a car crash. Now, with this second death.. I don't know how we're going to get through this.
    We were celebrating my birthday. Our parents left so we could have time to ourselves. She was cooking my favorite food -bacon grilled cheese sandwiches. Cake and icecream had been set out as well..
    I have to sleep now -if I can-. It's late, and we just got home. I'll write more later. Goodnight.

    I'm no longer seeing my counselor. Earlier this morning, she called to tell me I'm doing so well that I don't need her anymore. She told me to call her if things go south, though.
    I'll never make that call.
    Mom and Dad are pleased that I'm not talking to her. They were probably worried I'd say something about their drinking and all, but they didn't have to. Why would I get them in trouble for what I've done? What kind of daughter would I be then?
    Christmas is just around the corner, but we've yet to put up any decorations. It's not a problem. I'll understand if they don't want to celebrate anything after what we've been through, yet I'm still going to ask about it. I needed to go shopping for their presents.
    Anyways, I'll be back again after the 25th. See yah.

    Okay.. It's been a while. Honestly, the only reason I'm even up is because of my stupid insomnia.
    I still don't want to discuss the events that happened that day. It's still too fresh, too painful. Look, I'm already tearing up.. Keep it together, KK. We have to stay together. If we fall apart, what use will we serve?
    We have to take care of the house, go to school, and get through the night to do it all again tomorrow. How else am I going to get past this? If Venice were still around, though, we'd have a ray of sunshine to look forward to...
    Ugh, stop it! Snap out of it!
    What's happening to me?.. I feel like I'm dying, but yet I'm breathing just fine between sobs. Is this depression? I don't like it, but there's no end in sight. My new counselor says I'm doing great, but I'm lying through my teeth around her. She doesn't know I cry, or think these thoughts. Heck, she doesn't even know how bad Mom and Dad are.
    Should I be doing that? I know lying is wrong, but what choice do I have? I'm not worth the pity or effort. It's best if she thinks I'm fine so I don't waste her time.
    Oh well. I'll continue this debate another time.
