Thena Sinclair is a kind and caring individual. She would do anything for those she loves and cares about. That's exactly what got her into trouble. Born to a caring family, her parents had died at a young age. Her family as well as herself were human, but with a unique ability to hide themselves from those who could track using magic or scent. She was adopted by an amazing, human family when she was 11 years old, and became extremely close to her sister. They were inseparable and loved each other like they'd been blood sisters. But when both, her and Cynthia turned 18, her sister was diagnosed with stage-four cancer. Cynthia was on her death bed and there wasn't anything more that they could do for her. Chemo didn't work and Cynthia was barely conscious for the last few days. Athena refused to accept it. Making a deal with a demon wasn't something she ever wanted to do. And she hadn't realized she had until it was far too late. An older man came by and was headed into Cynthia's room. But just outside of it, Thena was crying. Sobbing... He spoke to her and she explained why she was crying so much. He offered a 'wish'. And then asked what she would trade for it. Her soul. Unbeknownst, Thena was naive; offered her soul in exchange for her wish to save her sister's life. It wasn't until the next day, that she realized what she had done.
Doctors claimed it to be a miracle. Cynthia woke up, feeling refreshed and otherwise, better than she's ever been. No signs of the cancer were found and in the beginning, Thena was excited and happy. But after a few days, she began to feel paranoid and scared that the man who granted her this wish might otherwise come and claim her soul very soon. At first, those worries were pushed to the back of her mind. She forgot all about it until a few years later when she went to carnival with a friend of hers from work. They decided to have their fortune told. It became something she regretted. The fortune teller began telling her fortune, but immediately refused to tell Thena's with her friend sitting there. And that's when she found out the scary truth. 'He's coming to collect soon...' She uttered those words and Thena's reality came crashing into her life. The paranoia returned and Thena felt that she only had one option... Run.
Will she be able to use her ability to mask herself from the demon? She's not sure. But she's sure as fuck going to try.
