History

• His Royal Highness, The Prince

  Crown Prince Jason of Calathia was born a year and a half after the marriage of his parents King Jhago and Queen Cassia of Calathia, one of The Summer Isles. Before their marriage, Cassia was the de facto regent of Calathia, as she was the last living member of the centuries old royal family. To strengthen her claim, she married King Jhago, who was the second son of the Great Count Gillead of Eiden.
  
  Jason’s birth was widely celebrated, and the child was nicknamed ‘The Golden One”, which came to fit him rather well, as he grew up and inherited his father’s golden hair.
  
  Already at the age of five, Jason began sailing. As the country of Calathia consist of one maiN and several smaller islands, sailing is an important skill for a royal. Jason fell in love with being in the open sea, and would go sailing as often as possible.
  
  His absence from home didn’t prevent him from forming a tight bond with his siblings, specially his younger sister, Cornelia, whom he has always had a soft spot for. He would usually compare possible brides to her, to see is they had the same charm, kindness or intelligence, yet he has not yet found a match, despite his parents urging him to make a decision soon.
