• Description

  The Count: Deitrich von Wolff, at first glance, is like any other wealthy man in the 1700s. A powerful man with many connections, and he knows how to put on a mask in front of others. He throws parties, visits "friends" and is admittedly a little bit of a playboy, inviting women from all over to stay with him a while. Whispers in his court hint at the possibility of him also inviting young men for the same purpose. The only real unusual thing about the man is that his immune system seems to be lacking. He's always so pale, and hardly goes out in the day.. If at all. And even when he is seen out and about, he coughs quite a lot.
  
  Generally, Deitrich wears what would normally be seen on a man of his status. His outfits usually consist of a red or black vest, with a white or black dress shirt, black pants, and comfortable, fancy black boots, as well as a long dark blue tailcoat. The man himself is quite tall and lithe, with little muscle to speak of, clean shaven, and wears his pale hair in a short braid with a black bow in it, as common for men in this age. As for jewelry and other sorts of baubles, he's never seen without a collection of rings on his fingers, mainly gems of violet, blue, and red, with gold and silver as the metals. He does not, however wear any necklaces usually. His skin is a rather sickly color, along with his eyes, and ridiculously cold to the touch. As a result, Deitrich rarely initiates physical contact with anyone.
  
  The Monster: Out in the public, Deitrich is an odd, but lovable man. He makes charitable donations, throws balls and parties, among other good deeds, but behind closed doors, his true self is revealed. He's heartless, evil, even, laughing at the suffering of those weaker than him. He uses humans for food, sating both his taste for blood, and his narcissistic need for placing himself higher than his "cattle", ravaging the bodies of his victims with, or without their permission. The most vile part of it all, is that no one ever remembers. In addition to a plethora of vampiric powers, the Count is able to erase, and even replace memories. He's been doing this for so long, that his power has risen to terrible levels, erasing days, weeks, months, and theoretically even years from his chosen victims' minds, if he so wished.
  
  Powers and Abilities
  
  Abilities - As with most vampires, Deitrich is a wielder of immense speed and strength. He is capable of tearing men in half with his bare hands, and even running down horsemen for a kill. He can also think and react at these speeds, if not higher. Additionally, his intellect is somewhat higher than the average man. Hundreds of decades of experience has yielded him quite a lot of intelligence, as well as reading all the current books he can get his hands on to keep up with developments. His age has not only strengthened his intelligence however... Deitrich has developed quite the resistance to normal vampire-slaying methods. Fire is a mere annoyance, garlic and purified silver have no effect, running water is able to be crossed, he visits the local church often for personal donations, and it's more than likely it'd take more than a single stake to the heart to kill him. The only thing he hasn't experienced is beheading, and that's one thing he's sure would be the death of him.
  
  Powers - Deitrich wields a multitude of powers for all sorts of situations. For combat, he is able to summon fire at will, move objects and people with only his thoughts, and extend his fingernails into claws to be used as weaponry. Additionally, he can harden his skin to be like steel, but it is still vulnerable to flame. Most of the time, however, he is not fighting. Usually, the Count is speaking, conversing and spending time with people... Which leads to his other set of powers. Very much an underhanded predator, his mind is his most powerful asset. He can read thoughts, control minds, plant ideas, and strike others with allure. His vampiric venom also initiates within his victims an accelerated healing process, causes a calming sensation, and is a potent aphrodisiac. This ensures that his bitten victims will neither remember they even had a bite, or will want him to stop biting once he starts. When times are tough and he is unable to win a victim through seduction, however... The vampire lord's more predatory skills come out. He can turn himself completely invisible, cause and create illusions, appear to be other people, and even shapeshift into a crow, wolf, bat, and black cat. Generally, the victims that experience these powers do not leave his clutches alive...
