  • Family: Her Church is Her Family, Her Mother is Part of this Church. Her Father Left the Church when Jael was four. She has been told he's dead, and he has been denied all contact and shunned from the Church.

  • Personality: Meek, quiet, shy, kind, she's quite friendly when one can get her to talk to them. Somewhat timid, tends to wait for orders rather then showing intitiative and doing things herself. She educated mostly in scripture and doesn't have a conventional education. Deep down she is curious, quite smart, and enjoys learning new things. She is incredibly devout because she has to be, and often lets people control her, but she longs for more, and is very curious about life outside the compound.
  • Talents: She is a quick study, She's a great cook, and has an excellent memory. She is quiet enough that she passes unnoticed most of the time. She has a sweet singing voice.
  • Weaknesses: She doesn't have a conventional education, doesn't really know how to socialize with people outside of the commune, and sometimes has her head in the clouds. She is naive and follows authority unquestioningly and this sometimes gets her in trouble.

• Bio

  Jael definitely hasn't had a normal life thus far. Her parents, both troubled runaways met as members of a Cult called The Church of Eternal Light when her Mother was 17 and her Father was 28 , and were encouraged to marry and reproduce by their leader, Marcus Ishram. For a few years their little family lived in one of the Family homes on the large farm that serves as their Compound, none of them allowed to leave, and no one except members and prospective members allowed in.
  
  When she turned four her Father began to question the practices of the church, the young marriages, the borderline abusive way the children where communally raised, the forced isolation, and many other troubling things. Eventually he left, wanting to take his wife and child with him. His Wife didn't agree with him though, she was nearly fanatical in her worship and her devotion to Marcus was such that she would allow nothing to come between them.
  
  She and Jael stayed, and Her father was shunned from the Church, never allowed to return, never allowed to contact anyone from his Family again. Because Jael was very young, they spared her the weight of the truth and told her he was dead so she would move on and forget about him. This lie stands still to this day.
  
  She's grown up just as the Church wishes her to, She's devout, meek, skilled at housework and cooking, and always does as she's told. She isn't as happy as she hoped she would be though. She watches life go by outside the compound from the fence, never allowed to join it, never allowed to leave except during specifically planned church outings. She longs to know what she's missing.
