The Kelpie Queen
Physical Description
Body Type Agile and slender. She is able to pick her way through treacherous, muddy marshland. She is predatory baring, especially in her movements which are graceful and careful. She is thought to be the biggest and strongest Kelpie.
Skin & Other Appearances
Kelpies are shape-shifters, they are creatures able to morph their form into something else~ something more innocent and nice, like a lost pony. This is how they lure in prey. Kelpies usually take on the form of a lost pony to entice children to ride them. Some may also take on the form of a seemly friendly gold-eyed human.
A Kelpie's true form is said to be terrifying, it's rarely glimpse by humans, once the mask slips it is said to be terrifying to behold. Kelpies are predators that rely on masks, but their true form shows their dark nature. They have sharp fangs and claws. Appearing eel-like with their long necks, slender bodies, hanging jaws and slippery, shiny skin. Instead of hooves they have claws and every Kelpie has glowing amber eyes which have a vertical slit pupils and good eye sight. Kelpies' are constantly soaking wet, a feature that remains in their shift forms and they water reeds is always woven and tangled in their mane. Kelpie's pelts are mostly dull and dark to blend into their surroundings.
Aedre is no different. Her pelt is described to be like the sky before a thunderstorm, reflecting shadows, her silvery wispy mane is tangled with water reeds. Her tail is the same, long, and ending with a tuft of silver. Her four feet have three toes and each toe ends with sharp claws, she has a long snout with visible fangs protruding.
