  'Our Town' is a roleplaying continuity. The story in question takes place in the small, provincial town of Ithlington and the surrounding county. Once drab, Ithlington is now divided as two species come to blows. The intelligent, bipedal animals that humans know as 'the grey' have returned to the county after more than a century of absence. Ithlington is located geographically in Northern England, between the counties of Cumbria and Durham. The grey are hulking and fearsome; they guard the land which they believe to be rightfully theirs with vigilance and aggression. The grey, who call themselves the Dhúchais people. Ironically, 'madra dúchais' translates to 'mad dog'.
  
  Indeed, the human populace of Ithlington see their actions as unreasonable. Conversely, the Dhúchais are beyond trying to assimilate. As far as they are concerned, they are entitled to the land on which Ithlington is built. They shouldn't have to justify themselves to humans. What's more, the grey are prepared to fight for what small semblance of culture they have left. In the wake of xenophobic violence, both species believe their hatred of one another to be justified. The human folk of Ithlington hold their ground. The eldest residents argue that the town lasted through war, before it was urbanized. It isn't going anywhere. Ithlington's local law enforcement is concerned over reports of kidnappings. They suspect that the grey are involved. Drug abuse has long been a problem in Ithlington. The substance trade motivates further violence between species. Only a small group of people-- students from Ithlington Academy of Sociology-- have any real interest in understanding their volatile neighbours.
  
  The county itself is thick with dark, green forests and relics of ancient times. Ithlington is very sparsely populated and thus idyllic. Outlying farmsteads are built on the remnants of derelict, wartime buildings. The grey settle in 'Tearmann', on land once used for growing crops. The forests that surround the town of Ithlington are dense with an air of mystery. Local folklore maintains that something dwells amidst the trees more ancient than man or Dhúchais...
