Damen was born in a little town outside of Chatanooga, Tennesee. Raised on the bible and faith. His parents were quite pious, taking him to church every Sunday and bible studies after school. Other than becoming a small-town teacher or librarian there were few options as far as jobs went. Luckily for him, his parents decided to send him to a catholic school out of state.
It was in this school Damien became the head boy. Later on, becoming a prefect. He was a natural leader in life. Graduating from school he returned home to the news of his father's passing from an accident at his work the day before. It was quite an emotional roller coaster the following week. Suddenly he was the man of the house and they had to plan the funeral.
After another year he needed a better job and some may say that God himself spoke to him that night. The pastor was going to retire and the position was coming open. He wasn't wholly qualified but he was the closest to qualified in this town, and it helped that everyone knew him.
Instead of retiring the pastor spent the next two years training Damien to take his place. There were quite a few things you did as a priest but he handled it well. Then Damien became the priest and father Donald decided to finally retire to Florida of all places.
The church was a little ways away from the town center on a hill overlooking said town. There were plenty of trees and the parking spaces were a little ways away at the bottom of the hill. The path was well beaten and cemented. A gently sloping ramp-like path leading to the older church. Inside was neatly refurbished and large enough to house the entirety of the town. Here he was known as Father Damien.
In a little room off of the main structure was his bedroom. A little twin bed and rather sparse decorations. His wardrobe consisting of his priest robes, a ceremonial robe, casual priest ware, and only two full everyday outfits. -
