• Introduction

  This character is from the Battletech universe. If you do not have knowledge of the things in the following text, then you aren't going to be RPing with me. So if you don't know most of this stuff already, just walk away. For reference, the RPs will be set following the events of the novel Endgame and the events of the Mechwarrior 4 series of games.
  
  If you would like to alter the following locations or situation, let me know and we'll work something out. I am also willing to play Alexa as a female.
  
  It is midyear 3067, the FedCom Civil War has been over for less than two weeks. The Word of Blake Jihad won't begin for another five and a half months and Solaris VII won't be invaded for another year. It is a time of great relief for many, as well as a time of rebuilding. Having been defeated in the war, Steiner backed MechWarriors seek to prove themselves in the arenas again.

• Description

  Alexa is an independent mechwarrior often competing in some sort of battle on Solaris, in the Light and Medium classes. She has won the Solaris Light Championship three times and the Medium once. This, coupled with her off-world mercenary work, makes her about three times what it costs to maintain, repair and store her Mechs. She lives in a high rise penthouse that allows her to look out over the Steiner Coliseum and the Mech hangers that hold her three most valuable possessions.
  
  In her personal life, Alexa is unrefined and coarse mouthed, but is also happy and fun loving. To any fellow mechwarrior or mechanic, she is polite and friendly. Her fans are treated like close friends and it is not rare to find her drinking with them in local taverns after a win, or even a loss. It's also no secret that she is a woman who's sexual preference is simply 'yes' and it really doesn't matter who her partner is. She is easily approachable at almost any time, except when she is preparing for a battle. All of this combines to make her a definite fan favorite, even if the media is often shocked at how hard she parties and who she is seen with. Lynch Stables and the Steiners put up with her because she is immensely popular and successful in the arenas. So long as she doesn't break any laws or hurt the reputation of the Steiners and Lynch Stables, they turn a blind eye to almost anything she does.

• Biography

  Alexa is a mercenary, who was hardened through two wars. She fought during the Clan Invasion, serving with several smaller mercenary organizations and mostly saw combat along the Draconis Combine's front against the Smoke Jaguars and Nova Cats. It was in this conflict that she gained her Mad Dog, having had her Centurion destroyed in combat. The other two Mechs were purchased later, during the time she fought in the FedCom Civil War, siding with the Steiner forces throughout the hostilities, switching between combat tours and competition on Solaris VII. As a reward for her loyalty to the Lyran Alliance, she was given a membership with Lynch Stables, which is usually difficult for pilots who do not pilot Assault Mechs. She maintains this membership to this day, as the Steiners are able to keep her Mechs in top shape. When the war ended, she was on Solaris and was preparing for a match. Downing five Mechs on her own, including two Davion backed mercenaries, she gave the Steiners their only victory that day.

• Battlemechs

  When Alexa is heading out in any of her Mechs, she dons a cooling suit that was taken from the same hanger that she 'acquired' her Mad Dog. The suit is a form fitting catsuit like uniform, which allows for full body cooling. Before she acquired this suit, she was wearing the standard Inner Sphere Mechwarrior gear of 'as little as possible' under a bulky cooling vest. With this Clan made suit, she is covered head to toe, hair included. It also came with a Clan made NeuroHelmet, which is a fraction of the weight of the ten pound monster she wore beforehand. She also carries a Mauser IIC laser rifle in the cockpit with her, for purposes of defense if she has to eject or for defending her cockpit from enemy troops in power armor (who will leap on to and climb up a mech to the cockpit and attack the pilot). She has a series of metal pins on the front of her jacket, of various Inner Sphere and Clan governments. She explains it as "A running tally on which militaries I've shot at. And I've worked for half of them, too."
  
  Her oldest Mech is a Mad Dog II, which is a more direct fire oriented variant. She acquired the Mech after her Centurion was destroyed, from a Mech hanger as the Smoke Jaguars were routed following the capture of their homeworld by the new Star League Defense Force. She kept some of the Jaguar markings, using their crest as a personal emblem, while changing her faction crests to Steiner. It is a powerful Mech, packing twin Autocannons in the chin turret, an Ultra-Autocannon 2 and a Mini-Gauss Rifle in the left arm and a plethora of Medium Lasers in the right arm and torso. The missile capabilities were not totally removed, with two racks of LRM10s. This Mech is used solely for contract work and is never seen in Solaris competitions, for fear of damaging or destroying her most valuable money making tool for prize money a fraction of what it earns her annually.
  
  Her next Mech acquisition was an Inner Sphere Mech. The Hollander II is well armed for it's weight class and has proven dominant in the Medium Circuit in recent years, but a second Championship has eluded her. It is built around the Heavy Gauss Rifle that dominates it's frame and she has blasted holes straight through the torso's of lightly armored Mechs with it in the past. This is backed up by six lasers, two are Medium and the other four are Small. Alexa has also outfitted the Mech with one rack of LRM5s, to allow herself a bit more flexibility in combat. She added the Smoke Jaguar and Steiner markings to the mech, as a reminder to all where she honed her skills.
  
  The final Mech she purchased a few months after the Hollander. This time it would be a Solitaire. This mech is purely a laser boat, with no missiles or ballistic weapons to be found anywhere on it's frame. Three Medium Lasers and a Small Laser back up the main punch of this Light Mech... the large and powerful Assault Laser. This weapon was designed to be used on fixed fortifications, but can also be used to devastate the armor of a Battlemech. This Mech sports five heat sinks to bring it's heat efficiency to just average and Alexa has often remarked that fighting for only a few minutes turns the cockpit into an oven. In fact, cockpit footage shows that every time Alexa fires an Alpha Strike, the heat spikes high enough to set off the Critical Heat warning. Thankfully the heat sinks are enough to bleed off the heat so that she can fire again, about fifteen to twenty seconds later. Any sooner and the automatic safeties will kick in and shut the mech down. With the light amount of armor the Mech carries, it is speed that allows her to dominate. Again, it has had Smoke Jaguar and Steiner crests painted onto it's armor.
