Sage was usually outgoing and friendly and this awarded him many friends. The kid had a pleasing tone and personality. He was typically top of his classes in school too. In his third year, becoming the student body president. After graduation Sage sort of slipped off the grid. No one really knowing where too. Buying himself a little home on the edge of town. It wouldn't help anything though by not working.
He did have a job, however. Working as a Sleep delivery man. A man from a quiet, sort of secretive company. The only way to become a member and hire a sleeper was word of mouth. Or have a relative working there. As an employee of the Sleep Delivery team, it was Sage's job to go to one's home and either sing or read until the client fell asleep.
It was quite an experience for first-time clients. Hiring a complete stranger to your home to stay until you fell asleep and leave you. Then again that was the reason for the lengthy paperwork and exclusive membership.
Sage adored his job. It helped that he could read pretty much anything he wanted to while he put the client to sleep so he got to read many books he might not have time to otherwise. He also liked the anonymity the company awarded him. He was finally fully out of the shadows of his parents.
