Mathieu was born and raised in France, though abandoned at an early age. He has very few memories of a life with a real family, but he has faint memories of a mother. He believes he was raised solely by her the first few years of his life, but he proved to difficult to handle and was quickly handed over to an orphanage. This is his first real memories are from this place, a mix of good and bad. It did not start off very well as he did not fit in; at the age of 4 he was already highly intelligent and would prefer the few books available instead of playing with the other children making him the perfect target for taunts. In the beginning, he could not do much, accepting the bullying during the day, reading during the night, but it did not stay like that for long.
How it happened, Mathieu is not quite sure. He faintly remembers seeing a mouse run across the brown floorboards in the small room, he had been given; he remember catching it, feeling the panic and the small, but hammering heartbeat. So small an precious, but the only thing he could think of was squashing it right there in his hands. From thereon it went quickly. From catching mice, he went on to the beloved cat, Belle, and whatever animals he could find. From each time, from each kill, it got more intense, as he tried to extract as much blood as possible. The taste for blood rose and rose, while the victims were fewer and fewer. The smaller the victims were, the more boring as it had the least blood in it; and that was the moment he turned to the other orphans. Already at this age, he knew about his powers. He had discovered them by accident, simply by touching and suddenly transforming himself, which only made his small games more enjoyable. He did not freak out at all; it just seemed like fate, as a natural part of him released by the sweetness of killing. It seemed like a sign sent from heaven telling him that he was on the right path and that he should not falter on his journey.
After too many years of killing smaller creatures afraid of being caught otherwise, at the age of 12, Mathieu killed for the first time for real. A kill that he will always remember, but always keep for himself; only one person knows of this, and he knows every little detail. He started out small and careful, but when he was not caught, not even suspected a little he got more and more bold. The killings increased rapidly and became increasingly more intense as his taste for blood developed into a hunger within weeks. Because of this cockiness, he ended up getting caught. A grisly scene, very few of the lead detectives on the case are still in the force - not only because of what they saw, but also that they had to witness this boy and what he was. For years he had kept to animals causing a small stir in the village, but when children and later adults started to disappear, people were afraid. The murders made it to the news and people wanted to know the truth - until the flow of news stopped. After Mathieu was caught and the nature of the crimes were discovered, any information about the murders vanished. The fact that he was so young was not nearly the cause to this; it was the fact that it was a meta-human using his abilities to savagely kill, dismember, and deform human beings.
To make people forget, Mathieu was locked away: Sent to a mental institution specialising in his kind, he was put in isolation, kept away from humans as much as possible; not for his sake, but for everyone else's. He did not mind it much as they actually supplied him with whatever he needed, which was mostly books. They made sure not to give him anything of certain materials, his cell was even made especially for him so he could not really use any of the material inside. Of course he could, but he chose to give them the satisfaction of letting them believe that they were keeping him inside, and not that he was staying of his free will; but time would tell that he would not stay for long.
Not long into his stay, Mathieu was contacted from the outside. No one else but him knew, but this unknown being opened a completely new world for him. For a couple of months he stayed, being a model prisoner not causing any trouble, because he knew that he was going to let hell break loose soon: And he did. Without much effort, he broke out, feeding his hunger on the way as he could not control himself after months of absence. He did not hold on for long though, since he had specific instructions how to follow up on the escape plan, an instruction he followed to perfection. He will never forget the moment when he reached his location, as it was at that moment he laid his eyes on Ramses, the one who helped him all along, the one who was going to show him the right path once again.
From that moment, Mathieu would follow Ramses. At the age of 14, he had totally devoted himself to this godly being and he would see him as a mentor and saviour, which he still does to this day. Not only did Ramses save him, he took care of him afterwards, took him under his wings and really showed him how the world works - according to Ramses of course. He would also teach him how to keep up with the blood lust without losing control as he had done when he was younger. Because of him, Mathieu could suddenly work in a normal, social environment, making him the perfect sociopath. He does not like being around other people very much though, as he prefers the company of Apocalypse and the Four Horsemen (not even that, only really Apocalypse). Therefore he can be seen as slightly isolated, only introduced into society occasionally under Ramses' control; but that would only work until recently, where Mathieu would discover someone who fulfilled all of Mathieu's needs even better, instantly becoming his new obsession.

Mathieu is one of the last people you would like to meet in a dark alley. Though he might not look like it with his tall, slender build, he will not hesitate to kill you just for the sake of his own enjoyment. He lacks any kind of empathy, and cares little about others in general: The primary focus is himself and what he stands for. He is cold-hearted and does whatever pleases him, unless Ramses tells him otherwise. He normally gives orders, though, that Mathieu thoroughly enjoys, so to follow his orders allows him to do what he love. For that reason he gladly follows another person, another meta-human, to whom he owes his life in the end - yet another reason to blindly follow his every move. Though being a follower at the moment, he is highly intelligent and can function very well in society, the only problem being other people being afraid of him on a normal basis. He has this kind of aura to him - he simply emits danger and death, making people with common sense avoid him at all cost. Even if you would not feel this, his smile makes up for it, but in the end he does not only look the part, it is simply who he is as a person; someone to be avoided no matter what. Not only does he not posses empathy, he enjoys inflicting pain on others, even himself, for his own enjoyment and pleasure. Ramses gives him the opportunity to do so without question and with the right means as well; he might not be good at taking orders normally, but when following gives him exactly what he wants, he cannot find a logical explanation to not follow Ramses. Moreover, Ramses' logic makes a lot of sense to Mathieu, as he too feels superior to lowly humans, so he is all in all a part of a perfect movement, where he can act out his dream as a serial killer, a plan that failed beforehand, but now has complete control over.

Besides Mathieu's inhumanity, he's simply a cold person. Feelings and people don't affect him, not just because of his lack of empathy, it's just his personality - he could care less. He can mostly be seen lacking emotions when he's just moving about, as the smile really comes on when he's doing what he enjoys the most, and while this happens more than often, it's the only thing that makes him react. His face is cold, just like his body; his core temperature seems lower than average, his touch is freezing, not just because he can transform himself, and he only gets fired up when he gets his hand on blood.➣ I N C O M P L E T E

The only sorrow Mathieu feels, is the premature death of a potential victim. Though death is rather exciting, he loves the feeling of the life slowly disappearing from his victims; if they just die, he gets no such satisfaction and that is rather common when he kills. He likes drawing out the act, making it slowly and perfect, but it's hard to do with humans, where many simply die from the shock. If he cannot even use two different materials on a victim, what's the fun of it? He's desperately searching for that perfect person that will finally fulfil his every need, since it has only happened once before; and he's pretty sure that he has found it.

Though Mathieu only possesses one ability, it is one hell of a powerful one. He is completely in control of it, not only because he has known of it for so long, but because of simple practice. This ability feeds his hunger for blood and the pain of others. Not only is it ideal to simply cause pain, but he himself can feel how his weaponized body harms and inflicts the pain. It gives him the perfect feeling of satisfaction; the only problem is the human limit.

· By the touch of a material or object, Mathieu can transform parts or his entire body into said matter.
· The "weapon" will be a part of his body, either turning body parts into the weapon, or e.g. his hand into metal.
· Certain materials, such as steel, wood, cement, or plastic, rather normal materials, can be used without touch, both because the body has grown used to them as well as them being present most places, where others have to have been touched once. The contact does not need to be constant, only one touch is enough.
· There are no limitations whatsoever to this otherwise. This can be weapons as knives, needles, and whips, but also materials such as fire and stone.
· He can also copy other people's abilities, even use his ability as shapeshifting, not only turning his body into materials and weapons, but other people. This part of the ability is dormant at the moment.
