• Biography
  
  Kaelani Archangel or Kaelani Adelaide is the last remaining blood member of the Adelaide Family and founder of the Archangel Family. She is the daughter and child of the late Xavier and Suzette Adelaide. She is the adoptive mother of Ren Abel.
  
  Birth of a Curse
  
  Suzette Adeheide was a young noble woman of German wealth who bore a sweet personality with understanding and a good heart. She was the oldest child of the Adeheide family and the true heir to take the family inheritance. A gifted beauty blessed with naturally attractive appeal; long crimson waves of hair were often adorned in white or black lace headbands and a matching gown to match either color. Her eyes were a stunning shade of sapphire that them alone would be worth a fortune themselves. Skin so soft and lips of virgin, it was a shame that every suitor her mother Gretchen Adeheide, forked over wasn't enough for the 'princess' and each man found themselves empty handed by her rejection. Gretchen grew frustrated over the years from her daughter's finicky tastes, it left her no choice but to pair her with someone in the family line by arranged marriage instead. What better could it be when the man chosen was her younger brother Xavier?
  
  
  Nobles often bound incestous marriages to keep the bloodline pure by arrangements. It was rare back in the days that one wedded out of love. Xavier, an attractive young man at ripened age of seventeen had long, ebony hair always kept clean and well-groomed as it trailed down to his waist. Those eyes - dashing color of honey. A spinning image of their mother, as his older sibling resembled their late father Cassius. The two were soon married and wealth once again, flooded their abode.
  
  Suzette was disgusted by this arrangement and knew, it was far too late to go back on it now. Their mother had grown ill with old age and passed way with one final word that they create a new heir for the next generation. Suzette refused with such haste, however, Xavier insisted they attempt at it anyway. In early Winter, Suzette fell pregnant and was forced to give birth to a child of a man she didn't love. She grew bitter towards Xavier, whom seemed a bit more positive towards the soon-to-be arrival of their first child. He was more...docile than his sister. In late Summer, Suzette had gone into labor and four hours later she had given birth to a healthy baby girl.
  
  But, something was off about this baby. She possessed a pair of ravenblack wings that faded to a beautiful violet that matched her hair. No one in the Adeheide family had such distortion. Suzette believed it was the work of the Devil and that the mysterious appendages were the symbol of incest - including the baby girl's crimson eyes. Xavier thought she was the most beautiful thing, however, Suzette wanted nothing to do with her.
  
  Due to Suzette's shocking fear towards the newborn, she told the nurses that she wanted to get rid of the child, but Xavier pleaded his wife and sibling. He grew a bond with their daughter and wanted everything in his will power to keep her. Despite her husband's protest, Suzette made the decision to keep the baby. However, the price that came along with that would soon prevale.
  
  Bless The Child
  
  By the time Kaelani was around three months old and enduring her mother's neglect, she was rushed to be baptized by a local priest for fear that she was the Devil's work. Xavier disgreed with Suzette on the matter and attempted to persuade his wife that the birth of their daughter was a blessing in itself and even though she was born with raven wings and crimson eyes made no difference. She was their child.
  
  As persistent as the woman was, he decided to give upon her request of a baptism. The event took place at the family chapel just a few miles from their large estate. The priest was a high-ranked man going by the name of Father McBride, who look a liking to the little bundle in Xavier's arms. He did not fear the child, for her existence was innocent. When the holy water was gently splashed on her head, that's when something occurred. All eyes widened as a black mark formed into an up-side down crucifix under her right eye. She did not scream nor cry at the water, so it was obvious that this baby wasn't the work of the Devil himself. Or...was she?
  
  At that time, Xavier submitted to Suzette's hatred and gave up their three month old daughter to an orphanage a few towns over. It tugged at her father's heart to leave her there, but if it brought his wife relief it had to be done. A few days later, Suzette was discovered hanging herself in the master bedroom of their home. The stress of being forced to marry her brother, then giving birth to his child that she did not love was too much. It drove her to the edge of insanity, thus she took her own life.
  
  Back at the orphanage, the nuns there welcomed the child with warm opened arms. They did not fuss or judge her appearance and eventually grew attached to the girl. It was then a young man around his early twenty's and a college student had traveled from Hawaii to Germany to see what Europe had to offer. His wife had died from cancer years earlier and he was sterile, unable to father a child. To ease his loneliness, the decisions to adopt was final. His name was Alahui, a gentle spirited man who had a passion for children. When his eyes met the baby that was brought in just a few days previous, he immediately took her home.
  
  He gave her the name Kaelani, which meant 'The Heaven's Sky' in Hawaiian.
  
  The sweetness of Childhood
  
  Kaelani was spoiled rotten, but remained cute as a button. Alahui flaunted over his adopted daughter as if he was her own flesh and blood. He taught her English to covert her from German, her birth language. They decided to stay in Germany, so that it'd be more comfortable and less stressful on her, Kaelani didn't mind it at the least. Alahui obsessed over those wings she had, always complimenting of how she should be seen as a savior and not a sinful creation. Everything about her he said was beautiful. And Kaelani took that in her own vanity.
  
  At the age of five, everything turned from good to bad, worse. Alahui fell very ill and soon died shortly after her fifth birthday. To look after her, she was placed back into the orphanage until other possible relatives could claim her. Life in the orphanage with other children was hell for Kaelani, they always made fun of how she looked and called her names like 'Devil' and 'Misfit.' Boys would often beat her to the ground and the other girls would tear and pull at her wings. She ended up with many gashes and bruises, shunned by other children. Time passed on, Kaelani often amused herself by sitting at a corner of the play room by herself with a sketch pad and start to draw. Sketches of how she wanted a family to love her.
  
  By the time she was ten-years-old, she became more independent and stood a lot more on her ground. One day, she was looking out the window of the playroom on a rainy afternoon. She saw a boy, not much older than her walk by the building and glance over at her with slight curiosity - mainly towards her wings. He'd smile and come over to her in a friendly manner. The boy caught her interest but unfortunately, this happened to have a thick sheet of window glass between them and Kaelani really wanted to go outside and play with him, however, the nuns who ran the orphanage forbade it.
  
  Sadly, those brief and most precious visits for her ended when her adopted father's older sister, her aunt Nani, came to get her. The woman was a strict person who decided to raise Kaelani into a proper young lady. Piano lessons, dinner mannerisms, dressing properly and home education by a private tutor. This new boring life unamused the kitten when she turned thirteen. She wanted more than just be a pretty decoration in auntie's estate. This is when she decided to go out and socialize with other people. When Nani was out for the weekend, Kaelani took the opportunity to go outside and explore. A bag over one shoulder and a jacket tired around her waist in case it got cold.
  
  Upon her wanders in the outside world, she collided head-on with a stranger while not paying attention on where she was headed. The two gained their bearings once again, then stared at each other. Oddly familiar; long blonde hair and emerald eyes reflecting an ever-lasting innocent aura around him. The same feline-like features that mirrored her own. They soon slowly came to recognize one another.
  
  Artemis, the boy revealed to be his name and some gibberish that he was born of the moon. A story that Kaelani often giggled at and found amusing when he spoke of being sent to look after her. Even though it was difficult to believe, she sometimes did. Each day from then on were spent endlessly with each other. Artemis had told her that his family would very much like to accept her into their household. His mother Arethusa was a gentle, care-free woman with generosity to the brim. She embraced Kaelani warmly once they got her out of that strict, boring life she was living with her aunt. Kira, Artemis' father had to work mostly and weren't always home for Kaelani to meet. But as rumors of the man spread that he was intelligent and a gentlemen, she believed it to be true.
  
  By the time Kaelani turned sixteen, she had fallen pregnant with Artemis' child. The two teenagers attempted to hide the pregnancy by avoiding coming home. It got to the point where they settled with living in abandoned junkyards in cars. Arethusa was a great mother to Artemis, however, she'd not tolerate being a grandmother so early. Sadly, due to poor health and environment, Kaelani was not able to carry to full term.
  
  She was taken to a near clinic where it had been discovered that her labor had begun. Only seven months along, she gave birth to a baby girl they named Isolde. The baby only lived for a short twenty-minutes before passing within Artemis' arms. The mourning and grief of losing their child sent the couple of a dead-end to their relationship. After they tried a second time for a child, she miscarried at only twelve weeks and he left without a word, never to be heard from again.
  
  As things couldn't get worse for Kaelani with losing both children and lover, she set out to find Artemis on her own to settle things. Unaware of the long journey ahead of her. At age eight-teen, there was still no success in fimding Artemis and she was starting to lose hope and faith. She wandered into a dark, quiet forest one night on her way to a village tavern.
  
  "Do you not want to suffer anymore?" a foreign voice called out to her. Kaelani turned to the direction of it, but the source was no where to be found. "Who're you?" she asked in reply, rubies alert as well as sharp hearing.
  
  A shadow darker than black moved in quick, fluid movements behind the woman's silhouette. "I am called all types of things, my dear. However, to you I am to be known to be the gates of paradise leading to your judgement. I am Axel Archangel," red eyes illuminated the shadow's facade.
  
  Silver long strands of hair, blazing scarlet eyes....cold, pale skin like porcelain. He circled the girl like a starving vulture, still his captivating glance upon her. His embrace caressed her as if putting her under a spell without her even speaking another word.
  
  A sharp, burning sensation was felt and a faint popping sound emitted. Something had gotten her by the throat and was draining all that she was worth. When Kaelani awoke shortly after...Axel had disappeared.
  
  And her new life began...as a vampire.
