The White Poplar Grove
There is a time worn, rickety cart whose groans of protest can occasionally be heard throughout the great and gilded halls. When parked, unfolded, and dutifully stocked, one can find a great array of potions, tonics, tinctures, and balms on its shelves. Some bottles are enchanted, a voice emerging from the bottle after each uncorking to give instructions of use, warnings, and a list of potential side effects. Other wares are meticulously labeled with the same information.

Enhancements

Eye of the Cat

In a slight, slim vial is an oily substance, pitch black in hue. It coats the tongue in a pungent, licorice flavor. Once taken, the user is able to see in darkness with great clarity for anywhere from 6 to 10 hours. A dose is 1 mL, and when uncorked the product's name, instruction on usage, and a warning that consumers take a dose no more than once every 48 hours emerges from the vial itself. Calypso sells them in one dose vials for a reason and does not sell multiples to a customer in a day. The enchanted bottle warns that a well known side effect is sensitivity to light for the duration of the drug's effect and a few hours after the drug has worn off.

Fae Foot

Clear is the liquid within, with an iridescent shimmer that swirls with the sweet, lingering taste of strawberries. A concoction all Calypso's own, the particular recipe for this one is a safeguarded secret. Users will need but a tiny swig of Fae Foot to ensure their footfalls and general movement are silent. One dose will grant the user 1 hour of silence. They are sold in clear, 50 mL bottles and one dose is approximately 1 mL. When users uncork the bottle, the product's name and dosage instructions are audibly spoken- the voice coming directly from within the bottle. It is safe to "stack" doses, or take all 50 doses at once for 50 hours of soundless movement. No side effects have been reported.

Dwarf's Blessing

Terrible hangover? Be rid of it with a touch of dwarven kindness. Take this round, cobalt blue tablet and plop it into about eight ounces of water. It fizzes up and leaves the water blue, but without taste. After ten minutes of having consumed the whole drink, that hangover will be gone. Each tablet weighs about 3.24 grams each, and Calypso sells them in slim and tidy blue foil cylinders, the foil wound up in a label with the product's name and instructions on usage. Each little package contains 10 tablets. There are no known side effects.

Vigil

Within this chalky, white wafer with a particularly sour tang reminiscent of lemon and lime is the key to warding away fatigue. Wafers weigh 0.25 grams each. They are individually wrapped red foil, and each is accompanied with a card that has the product's name in all caps along with an exhaustive list of potential side effects that reads: "Some users have reported heightened senses, and others claim it brings a jitters and quickened pulse. Do not take more than one wafer in twenty four hour span. Once Vigil has worn off, it is recommended you rest." On the other side of the card are instructions in taking it. Once dissolved on the tongue, within ten minutes the user will experience a burst of sustained energy lasting approximately 10 hours. Users will then experience exhaustion after the 10 hour duration. The sale of this drug is limited to one wafer a day per customer.

Mermaid's Breath

In squared off, glass bottles with wide necks are an abundance of pale blue, pale green, and pale purple are large "fish scales" coated with an iridescent shimmer. They taste of hints of kelp and salt, and when placed on the tongue soon melt away. One scale allows the user to breathe freely underwater for an hour due to the temporary emergence of gills. Like Fae Foot, doses can be safely "stacked" and taking multiple doses will result in multiple hours of underwater breathing. Within the bottle are easily 50 doses. The bottle itself is enchanted to give voice to instructions and a warning that while fitted with temporary gills, users will not be able to breathe above water and that they should remain submerged until they vanish. The voice also assures the bottle does not contain actual mermaid or fish scales, and that neither were harmed in the making.

Medicines

The Sandman's Brew

In delicate silk tea bags are what looks and smells and tastes of chamomile and tea leaves. The contents within, however, pack far more potent a wallop than any amount of chamomile. The tab on the of the string is larger than most, because it has instructions on its use. It recommends 30 minutes before their desired rest, they steep the tea in hot water for 7 minutes. Within the hour, users can expect between 6 to 8 hours of a deep and peaceful sleep. Reported side effects include grogginess for 3 to 6 hours upon waking and sleep talking, sleep walking. There is no risk of dependency, and there has been no reported harm in consuming the tea nightly. In a given box, there are 20 teabags, but this product can easily be sold in bulk.

Unicorn Tears

In a tapered little bottle containing only 10 mLs of product is a silvery, shimmering, viscous concoction that tastes of sharp and sweet pomegranate. The enchanted bottle indicates that a dose of 1 mL will accelerate the body's natural healing processes by anywhere from 3 to 5 times faster than usual rate of healing for any particular injury or ailment. Calypso does not keep this product on the shelves, she merely advertises it- acquisition of this product must first be commissioned, and the costs paid up front. This potion takes 5 days to prepare, and it the most costly and labor intensive thing in the shop. The doses do not "stack," more than the recommended dosage will not heal a customer any faster. The enchanted bottle's voice states that this product is not made of actual unicorn tears, therefore no unicorns were harmed in the making.

Stomach Soothing Syrup

In a 100 mL bottle sits a translucent orange syrup that tastes of ginger and orange. It is thick like molasses and incredibly, infuriatingly sticky- but a mere teaspoon will resolve a whole slew of gastrointestinal discomfort: upset stomach, indigestion, heart burn, diarrhea, and nausea. The enchanted bottle's voice indicates that there is one occasionally cited side effect- constipation. One teaspoon will grant the user 3 hours of relief. The bottle also urges customers experiencing any of the aforementioned discomfort for greater than 48 hours see a physician because the syrup treats symptoms, not causes.

Antivenom

These 10mL vials of green liquid are stored in an insulated box of Alchemist's Ice and must be kept cold but not frozen until in use. This antivenom treats most sources of venom- magical and mundane. This is a treatment meant solely for use by professionals, for whether is it administered intramuscularly or intravenously depends on the timing of the venomous contact. This product need to be diluted with a 1:10 dilution with saline. More than one vial may be necessary for treatment depending on several factors. It treats most venomous contact.

Antitoxin

This is another 10mL vial stored on Alchemist's Ice, but the color of the liquid is blue to distinguish from other products. The enchanted antibodies within will neutralize toxins produced by most animals, plants, and bacteria- magic or mundane. This product is sold to healthcare professionals, because it must administered intravenously with a 1:10 dilution with saline. Only one vial is necessary in most cases. This product treats most toxins.

Blood Balm

Tucked within a round and squat jar weighing 350 mL is a pastel blue paste. This paste is a solution to external bleeding and will clot any given open wound from abrasions, lacerations, punctures, to avulsions for 2 hours. The surface area of the wound must be covered completely, or else the wound will continue to bleed from the areas void of product. Its application will also ward away infection for that window of time, but will subsequently wear off. The enchanted jar and Calypso warn this is not a suitable alternative to medical attention- this product will not aid in the resealing of skin or accelerate healing. It is meant to be used in emergencies and followed up with medical care.

A Mother's Relief

This particular product is Calypso's best seller. The enchanted bottle boasts a round flask, the hunter green liquid weighing in at a husky 300 mL. The enchanted voice informs users that should they wish to prevent pregnancy, all they need do is take a teaspoon of the potion and within 24 hours, it will prevent pregnancy for the following 3 days. Most of Calypso's customers of this particular product take it regularly, and she recommends they take it at a regularly scheduled time so as to prevent any lapses in effectiveness.

Miscellany

Lilith's Long Lasting Lamp Oil

Within a tin cannister weighing in at a gallon is Calypso's own proud concoction- Lilith's Long Lasting Lamp Oil. Fill your lamp and forget about it, because this oil will add 10 hours of enduring light to your oil's usual duration of use. It comes with a "WARNING: FLAMMABLE" label written in red, decorated with the red outline of a flame. The other side has a label with instructions on its use. It looks and smells exactly like regular lamp oil.

Goldenrod

On first glance, the goldenrod is but an ordinary staff of iron, made a little pretty into a twist with a fashioned handle, only a foot long. When struck, however, it casts a golden glow around it in a 30 foot radius. It lasts for 10 hours before flickering out- and if returned to Calypso, can be made useful again for small fee. The tip is blunted, but Calypso wraps this product in brown butcher paper before it enters the hands of her customers regardless, and seals it with a label of instructions and a warning for users that are sensitive to iron. This is a favorite of adventurers.

Vanishing Ink

Within seemingly ordinary inkwells is an extraordinary ink. To the uninformed, the ink appears perfectly normal- black ink, without any discernible difference in smell or consistency. It isn't until quill is put to paper that its properties unfold: within seconds of writing, the ink seemingly vanishes, leaving no hint anything were ever written. The key to deciphering the ink can be as simple as heat or vinegar, or as complex as the breath of a specific person. Simple keys (heat, vinegar) and average keys (acid) are already available on her shelves. Advanced keys (a specific vintage of wine) and complex keys (a specific person's breath) will require commission, a day's time, and a raise in price. There is no label, no instructions, not even a specialized cork to announce that is is anything outside of the norm for the sake of discretion.

Takes effect within 15 minutes of consumption. Doses can be stacked, but it is ill advised. Side effects and adverse effects are unknown. Calypso made a total of 1 mL product, enough for 5 doses.

Adult Literacy Program

For those unable to afford her private tutoring lessons, Calypso has spearheaded the Adult Literacy Program. Once a week, she will host a teaching session open to the public. She does not charge for these sessions, but she does ask those in attendance donate what they're able. She will touch on subjects such as: the fundamentals of literacy, the fundamentals of arithmetic, how to form and address formal letters, how to calculate taxes. Occasionally she will host classes on basic plant identification and application, introductory courses on cooking, the basics of sewing, and rudimentary first aid. With these courses she's looking to establish foundational knowledge rather than nuance.

The back of these gloves and the outer sides of the boots have the alchemist's symbol for alkali carved into the leather. A binary acid made of the essence of a gargoyle seems to be effective.
