He was the first to discover her abilities and attempted to hide them from the people of Ronda. After some time,
however, Reina was unable to control her intake of light. This caused an offset of energy to project from her body, a visible aura.
The town performed exorcisms on her as a child to rid her of the 'demonic light' that would surely serve as a beacon
for more evil. In a failed exorcism, Reina's body let out an extreme pulse of intensified heat that resulted in the deaths
of those involved.
Javier aided Reina in her escape from Spain before he ultimately served as a martyr for what had happened outside of
his daughter's control. ☼

☼An older woman known only as 'grandmother' who ultimately taught Reina how to better harness her abilities. She is
also the one responsible for schooling her young ward in healing abilities and basic potion creation.
They spent years together, though upon Reina's return from the market in their current village, Abuelita was suddenly
unavailable. When questioning neighbors and 'friends' nearby, no one claims to have ever heard of the woman and many
believed the Angora lived at the small residence on her own.☼
