• Biography

  ABOUT
  Ardora is descended from a line of Wytches, magically imbued humans capable of supernatural abilities. Wytches worked as demon and monster hunters in ancient times, however were later hunted down and eliminated after the Catholic Church branded them satanic beasts themselves. In the modern era, Wytches were a rare, nigh-forgotten race who do their best to stay hidden and undetected. Born to a Wytch mother, Ardora remembers her youngest years consisting of gentle teachings by a loving hand, to help her control the abilities she would surely have to hide as she got older.
  
  At age thirteen, Ardora and her mother were discovered by Catholic hunters, who attacked the pair. Her mother was killed, triggering an overwhelming emotional response from the young girl, whose abilities activated and resulted in a massive fiery tornado consuming the entire block wherein they all stood. The area was decimated, and Ardora fled into the city. She fell in and out of group homes over the next few years, squatting in old buildings or with other orphaned kids. Once she was old enough, she began pole dancing as a way to make a living, taking advantage of her looks and limited magical ability to make money and live a 'normal' life.
  
  But with the Catholic church's increased power, whether in politics or military force, there became fewer places for people like her to hide.
  
  PERSONALITY
  Ardora is a resourceful young woman who focuses on self-preservation above all else. While some might consider her selfish, she has simply adapted to a childhood of struggle and has learned that compromising her own safety for others is not an option. After all, her mother had tried to protect her, and paid the ultimate price for it. Despite her independent perspective, she also recognizes the need for help at times. She's adept at manipulation and seduction, letting people have what they want (or think they want), so that she may take advantage of their resources. In reality, she is quite guarded and closed off, not opening up genuinely to many, and becoming attached to very few. She sees emotion as weakness, but also fears losing control of her abilities which are heavily emotion based.
  
  ABILITIES
  Every Wytch's abilities manifest differently, with Ardora's centering primarily around fire and heat. She is capable of manifesting and controlling immense flames, even concentrating them into shapes (tornadoes, cages, spheres, etc). She can manipulate the temperature of an area, increasing or decreasing it considerably, as well as alter the temperature of anything she touches. Beyond that, she has limited magical ability, allowing for the study and practice of limited spells or glamours. Generally, she will only use these in emergencies, as they can attract the Church her way.
