Plot Concepts
1. Modern times, your character ( or perhaps your characters kid) is occupied within their thoughts, paying no attention as they cross a busy street. The sound of brakes screeching and a horn blaring alarms them, realizing a car/bus is closing in on him/her fast. Frozen in place, they are unable to move, the fear acting like a paralysis. Just as its about to come in contact, they are thrown forward and out of the way, but can hear the impact of something against the front of the vehicle. Confused they get up and move to the front of the car/bus to find a man sprawled on the grown, a halo of blood around his head and not breathing. A crowd of people gather and the ambulance sirens sound in the distance. When the medics arrive, they give your character a brief check up, but they are not hurt other than a bit of ruffed up palms. Your character asks if the man was okay, but they declare him dead on the spot. His face, the blood, and the situation haunt your character for a week, but then out of the blue they see the same man that had given his life to save them, but he's alive, and uninjured. Is it just a trick of the mind?
Seeking: Preferably female character, age 21-35, character can be of an innocent upbringing/nature or a troubled one
2. After a stressful day, Jannik finds himself wandering the city at night, passing by a gay club when a transvestite starts flirting with him. He says men aren't really his type, and that he is not interested, but he is swayed by the idea of a free drink, and humors everyone by going inside. He enjoys himself, and finds the modern times exploration of sexuality and love very interesting, but he still rejects any advances. This is until he comes across your character, a man younger than himself with a more feminine quality and beauty to him. He avoids approaching, but can't help but be curious from afar, simply smiling and looking away shyly when your character notices him. The others around Jannik encourage him to go try an flirt a little, get out of his comfort zone a bit, have a good time. Does your character approach this shy 'straight' man? Or does the night pass by and they run into each other again in a different place?
Seeking: Male character in his 20s, lively, risk taker but never having gotten in any serious trouble or the exact opposite being completely innocent and having lived a somewhat sheltered lifestyle, character is born and raised in the states, not having moved around much, preferably feminine qualitieso but open to a more masculine character as well
3. Its 1875, rumors around town are that the sheriff's men have been wiped out by Sioux savages, their homes, land and families gone up in flames. Jannik Erland is presumed dead. Weeks later, your character, female, is out tending to her horses or doing some maintenance to her home. From the porch, her dog starts barking and she notices a figure making its way to the well on her property. She realizes its a man, staying away and letting the dog bark until he reaches the well and isn't even able to draw up the bucket before he collapses to the ground. Cautious, but concerned your character approaches the man, and sees that he is unconscious. Despite the painted markings on his body, the dirt, grime, and state of his clothing , she is able to recognize that it is Jannik Erland, who is believed to be dead. What does she do next?
Seeking: Female, age 28+, fiery, smart, witty, and stubborn, widowed/never married
4. Jannik's nightmares are keeping him awake at night, paranoia is setting in, anxiety, he doesn't know what else to do other than find someone to talk to. Your character is a therapist/psychiatrist, and has taken Jannik on as a patient. He worries that he/she will find him crazy, delusional, and a liar. Your character finds hims fascinating as they attempt to discern and help Jannik find a mental stability. They think his stories and dreams are the result of a highly active imagination and PTSD, as they date back many years and things people would see in movies on tv, but the amount of detail and feeling he describes about historical events and time periods is alarming. As your character gets to know him as a friend or even more intimately, they realize he is speaking truth, that the stories are not just stories, but his actual life.
Seeking: Male or Female character age 28+, realist, fairly professional with their patients
5. Jannik is on a date with your character, they hardly know each other or just barely met and decided to get a coffee or something. Unexpectedly a dimensional rift rips open time and Jannik, your character, and an unfortunate bystander are pulled through before it shuts. For Jannik, the time period is all too familiar, he estimates the year to be around 1876, a year after his disappearance and alleged death. The force of the rift kills the bystander upon arrival, so no need to worry about that loser, but your character has no idea of what, where, when and why. Jannik seems to only know the answer to two of those.

Character Summary: Jannik Erland is no daisy pusher. He does his best to fight for what he believes in and his own interests if they prove to benefit both him and those he cares about. His charming, charismatic, and often tender demeanor is matched with a stern, occasionally cross, and vengeful rage. He demands respect from those around him, and has an accidental tendency to get involved with the wrong groups of people. He is a protector of those he loves, and doesn't appreciate when people get in his way. You'd be lucky to have him on your side, and damned to be against him.

Life After Death
Jannik Erland was born in 1821, Demark, his younger brother born three years later, they grew up very close. The two boys were raised by a tender and loving mother, but their father was a stubborn and violent alcoholic. When Jannik was thirteen his mother passed away, and Jannik took the responsibility of caring for his younger brother and running the farm while his father only came home in the late evenings. It was when Jannik was twenty-four that they got news that their father had passed away due to consumption. They did not mourn his death.
In 1848 the first Schelswig war erupted, both brothers joined to fight against the Prussian and Austrian forces. Jannik proved to be a remarkable soldier, with a deadly aim, but his brother was not so fortunate and was seriously wounded during battle. He died due to a severe infection, leaving Jannik alone, the only left of his family. The war would come to an end three months later, and longing for a new start, Jannik was quick to accept the opportunity of traveling to America and settling on land there.
First by ship, then eventually by train, Jannik reached America and held up in a small town in South Dakota. While foreigners like himself weren't fond of, he was quickly recognized after just days of being there. A group of bandit raiders terrorizing the small town gave Jannik his first real taste of the 'wild west', but it also showed the locals that he knew his way with a gun. In thanks, the town sheriff made sure Jannik was offered a good piece of land at a more than fair price, but also made an offer for Jannik to join his posse of peacekeepers. Although hesitant, Jannik agreed, he claimed his land, eventually married a brothel girl and had a son and daughter, and fought against any threat with the Sheriff's men.
As a so called 'peacekeeper', Jannik had many enemies. Outlaws, raiders, common drunks, but his group held feud mostly with the American Indians. Jannik was not opposed to the slaughter of the natives who scalped, butchered and burned the land, but he started questioning those he rode with and the Sheriff's intentions when the targets ended up being those from peaceful tribes. When he finally figured out the agenda, he was beaten by the men in the posse, and told not to say a word and continue with his work unless he wanted to be killed.
When sent out with the group, Jannik refused to shoot the innocents, the mothers, the children, he only fired if absolutely necessary. But the natives did not see or understand this, they saw Jannik who was once a friend now with the others who turned on them, and that naturally made him an enemy. As a desperate act, and plea for their own lives, they asked the Sioux for aid, giving up the whereabouts of the Sheriff's men in exchange for passage to leave the plains without rival tribe bloodshed.
One night Jannik and his family were ambushed in their home by warriors of the Sioux tribe. The attack was unexpected, and left his family vulnerable. One of the natives recognized Jannik, and wanted him to suffer as his own people had. They forced Jannik to watch as his home was burned, and left no one else alive except for the foreigner. They took him hostage, and beat him until his body gave up. It was then that the female elder, the tribe's shaman intervened and decided Jannik's fate would not be death, but rather eternal life, forced to live and watch those he loves and cares about die around him. With the aid and power of the ancient spirits and the ancestors, the elder brought Jannik back from his brief deceased state to live his days constantly haunted by the bloodshed of his past, and the idea that there would never be a way to end his suffering.
