  • Who is Des Akuma?

    Technically? He's a clone. Des Akuma is an essence, he is the fragment of a soul from an experiment gone awry. Magic which tears the soul into multiple parts. It was an attempt at immortality by a demon by the name of Destroyed Purpose. His body was growing frail with time, and wracked with fear of the unknown, of death, the only thing that he'd had left in his life to look forward to, he began looking for ways out. He knew how, mind you, he would split his soul into three, lock them in the weapons he carried and live in his youth until those weapons broke. It worked like a charm...At least, for a while..

    It takes many years but the weapons do break, from the blade on his side named Flesh Ripper came Des Akuma, a soul fragment that manifested into a blonde version of the original, from Bone snapper, his adjacent blade that resembled a mace, Des Monsutā a large crimson haired version of the original, and from the obsidian spear on his back? Des Shiretsuna. Perhaps the most dangerous of all three, one gold hue, and the other jet black, body lithe, athletic, and it's aura causing cracks to paint the earth and a force like a wind storm to cast out in all directions. Destroyed Purpose's memories screamed within all of their heads, and their bodies matched that of the original down to the letter. Woe to Destroyed Purpose, for when Akuma, Monsutā and Shiretsuna were freed, he lost power, his age became advanced and the magic keeping him young dispersed completely.

    Shiretsuna spared no time incapacitating the original, and then he turned his mismatched gaze on the other two, holding the broken remnants of the blades from which the two were born. Akuma and Monsutā, knowing their position took up one of two halves of the broken spear and rushed him, the fight took days and there was no change. Despite how they bled, despite how they fought, despite what happened to them, they could not die. They blamed the original, and demanded explanation. Old and frail he told them of his situation and of what he had done. They were all a piece of him, Destroyed Purpose, Des Akuma, Des Monsutā and Des Shiretsuna were linked together, all of them small pieces of one soul. Ultimately immortal until they all died. They left the original, all of them, spreading out across the world to make something of themselves, to find a place where they belong. Shiretsuna set out to defeat all others stronger than himself. Monsutā left for parts unknown and Akuma? Well, Des Akuma needed a drink..

    A new chapter begins. The other creatures are dead, all of them killed with anti-magical weapons. Except one. Akuma is the last remaining fragment of what Destroyed Purpose...Kyzslauyk Hilhazy, had been. All of his memories are Akuma's, stacked on top of what he knew and what he has known. His sleep is now impossible, flash backs of events he had no recollection of haunted him, of wars and old friends he could not recognize, of women and children that had been slaughtered over his original's life span. He held the mind of two within him now, the memories spanning over two very long lives. They were Hillhazy's memories...And he could not rid himself of them. Perhaps it would have been simpler to allow the original to continue living, and avoid the madness that has come.

  • The Bar.

    The dwelling of the creature changed in multiple ways over the next few decades most commonly a bar, he'd taken to repairing a bar run by a lovely vampire with the alias "Blood" it was fitting. He was the handyman and most of the bar's renovations were done by Des. He met many friends and fighting buddies, spending most of his time in the infirmary. But good things could never last, you see over time his friends began to disappear, leaving Des once again, alone.

    Not long after the disappearance of all of those he held dear the bar, though growing ever darker and colder with the passing day met it's end at the hands of a hurricane, a hurricane that truly and utterly destroyed eighty percent of the bar. When he'd gone out to explore the damages he met his first love since the original's wife. Her name was Aqua Korena Oceania. A mermaid which had been washed into the local pond among the other wreckage. Des protected and watched the woman for days, she was sick, malnourished, over the weeks he treated her, fed her, healed her injuries and attempted to heal her fragile mind. Unwilling to allow the creature to die on his watch Des eventually had her healthy enough to be on her way, but she didn't leave she chose to stay with the man, and while the demon fixed the bar, the woman purified the water surrounding the bar and, with time, formed a bond with Des that was a true, but pure, affection.

    As all things in the demon's life, it could not last. Without a trace the mermaid disappeared, the demon, after waiting literally years for her to return? Left that place to rot, he'd heard since that multiple more hurricanes had caused it to be renovated and rebuilt multiple times. Maybe it was time to consider a relocation? Needless to say, Des moved onward, that bar and those people another page in his memory.

  • The Town[s].

    First there was Helmstrass, such a place did not surprise Des Akuma, though some looked upon it fondly it was at it's core a peasant village with a tyrant king. The demon spent months there through lack of a better reason to leave, he met a few kindred spirits and as such had many good fights there. Though between the tyrannical ruler attacking a demonic brother and the peasants looking down upon him? He was forced to leave, he did not look back and spat upon it's very name these days.

    The second was Priory Point. A fairly lively place, made up of fighters, thieves and the like, the town at it's core was a good place but Des didn't really settle in like he tended to, with a few drinks and a few fights under his belt the demon decided to move forward, remembering very little of the town aside from his interactions with two elves that he'd come to consider close personal friends.

    The third was Raven Head. Now this was a town that Des liked, the tavern served heavy drinks, the fights were intense [almost too much sometimes] and the women were plentiful. Des met new friends and saw some old ones. But he found just as many enemies. It wasn't that he chose to leave this new town so much as he was forced to, the tavern's scent still lingers in his nostrils, yet for the time being he will not be returning.

    And now, the fourth. Etla Isle, this area was the most annoying Des has been to. On it's surface this town is a growing area full of happy faces, new friends and enemies quirky people, oddities, trinkets and all sorts of fun to be had. This isn't appealing to the demon, beyond the happy faces, the fake smiles, the reassuring look on the small guard force's faces, his friend is being held captive, and he is here to save her, come hell or high water. And since he's been through both? Nothing else could possibly stop him. He'd fought a demon, come out of it without an arm and still on he fights to free his friend. Unfortunately he hadn't been able to free her! She was sold by the man whom Des had come to dislike. Of course he hasn't given up yet! When Des Akuma puts his mind on a goal, he achieves it.

  • The confession?

    The reasoning behind his protection of her, the way she haunted his dreams, filled his thoughts, calmed his hatred, it was perhaps this reasoning which caused the confession. The demon thought if he gave her a way to summon him, that this would disperse, that he were simply wishing to do more for her...And alas this was not the case. The demon stopped fighting, through fear of causing her worry, he stopped killing, through fears of being taken from her, he has stopped boasting for fear of death and seperation. Des Akuma had changed, and it was time he admit it, he loved the girl.

    So he did, while the rain poured over the rubble of what had once been his house, as they huddled beneath it listening to the rain pepper the tin roof above, the demonic one spoke the words to her, after a brief conversation between the two, completely taken aback that she would return them, well, there were many things she surprised him with on that day but this was perhaps the most important! Where does he go from here, one must wonder, Des himself wonders also, the only thing he knows for certain, is that he loves her, he is wrapped around her pinky finger with no dispute to this fact and he will ensure her happiness, for as long as he possibly can, and with the life span a demon posesses? Well, they're looking at quite a while!
