Des Akuma

Ridiculous Strength - Des can toss objects larger then himself with little effort, yes he strains and grunts but his demonic bloodline gives him the ability to take on much larger enemies quite easily.

Iron Skin - Not -really- iron. But brutal conditioning and some military training has given him iron like skin, in short, hard to cut, and he can take loads of punishment and bleed profusely, before he shows signs of wearing down. The damage is of course, there, but he can fight through it.

Elemental Abilities - He has mastery over Fire and Psi [more details soon.] that is, master level proficiency. He is also adept in water, though he's poor in anything else to do with black magic, in all honesty he was lucky to get Fire and Water, despite his natural ability with magic he just doesn't have the attention span to read about it! While Psi is a DNA bound element. Mind you when prepping if he is attacked because he has a mastery level over Psi and Fire, those spells will not be affected unless he's staggered. The preps will not drop to zero but be stalled for one turn depending on the attack. A punch to the face will not stall his attack. [Again, unless staggered, which will be decided by dice. 1d100 45 and below is staggered, anything above means he keeps his charge.]

DNA infused defense system - This is the basis for Des' entire combat strategy. It is the weapon he uses to fight, heal, and sustain himself. His very blood is infused with Ethereal energy, it's a sort of element which comes from the mind of sorts, he refers to it as "Psi" as his blood cells are created he is quite literally charged with the elemental energy. He can manifest this energy into the physical realm in a number of fashions. However, draining these powers is very dangerous and even life threatening, which is why one will only see him using them in combat situations. The power is however, very destructive, very brutal and very, very deadly. Below will be a few examples of attacks you may see from Des Akuma.

Psi Blast - As one might expect this is a simple conjuring of a small to medium sized orb depending on how long it's charged, and releasing it at the opponent, it can cause bruises, lesions and severe burning. If charged for long enough [usually about three preps] it tends to become volatile and explosive. The downside to this technique is that it has very little accuracy and as most things, takes from his vital life energy and he must take time to recharge.

Psi Cylinder - A brutal sadistic technique which more or less solidifies his psi energy into a soup can of sorts enclosed around the enemy, at which point Des will usually float above them, open up the top and rain down from above with fire, water, or more psi energy. Or simply leave the top closed and wait for them to suffocate. Yes, it can be broken and you don't have to be super strong to do so. Just a proper amount of strength and you'll be free of Des' little private Hell. This isn't a strong attack and as such the draw backs are limited, aside from the usual fatigue that using his energy does to him.

Psi Bomb - It is what it is. Three preps to successfully make it, four to five to make it the size of a bowling ball. It can be launched before hand but it's significantly weakened. During the process he has to stay stationary and when he completes the attack he's severely drained. Upon touching anything solid it explodes violently and destructively, it's the ace in the hole and it tends to be used when he's in a do or die situation. The explosion when fully charged can bring down a small town and the crater left in it's wake is usually a few hundred meters wide. In which occasion, he could just die after performing the technique.

Psi Bandage - To keep himself from bleeding out if he has a very nasty wound he can make a TEMPORARY binding for himself from Psi-energy, he more or less manipulates the psi in his blood to the area to form a sort of clot. The area in question will glow a bright purple and it will stick around, signaling the constant drain on his Psi. Though it is infinitesimal he must stay focused or the binding is ceased and he bleeds twice as badly due to the great deal of blood attempting to clot the area.

Psi Pincushion - With concentration Des solidifies his blood and pushes it through his flesh in the form of spikes much like one would expect of a porcupine. The indication of this technique is that the male's entire body glows bright purple, not to mention the fact that he'd probably be screaming and in agonizing pain.

Manifestation - This comes in many forms, Des can solidify his psi into things like weapons, new limbs, wings, anything from a simple cosmetic change to drastic new inventions! If Des loses his weapons in battle? Maybe he creates a pillar out of psi energy and wields that. The possibilities are endless.


Transformation - Unless you're trying to kill him you'll -never- see this. So no worries. But for those of you who -are- trying to kill him. Then know that this form increases his overall energy reserves and physical abilities. His appearance changes but that'll be explained through rp. He can also be in his semi-transformed state, which does nothing for him except beef up his attack power and endurance a tiny bit. The best way to take this form down is through obvious means, Holy anything, spells, water, frying pan, doesn't matter. As long as a priest has blessed it.

Anything Light - Whether it's a healing spell or holy infused anything. Des cannot take it, and it damn near kills him every time it's used. When he is in the presence of something holy he undergoes a physical change as well, his eyes become black, his iris disappearing completely and his teeth grow, suggesting his demonic nature and giving him away.

Arrogance - Anyone who knows or has talked to him can realize right off that this silly fool is preeeetty sure he's a total bad ass, as such unless he's sober you can trick the demon easily, just play to his ego and it's likely he'll run into whatever trap you've set simply because; "Pfft, I can handle it."

Impatience - Des often times takes the more difficult path if it means that he can get the results he wants quicker than if he were to play it safe. The demon has many things going for him, patience is NOT one of them. If he wants results, he will get them. However he can.

Aquaphobia - Blame it on his anthro heritage, Des is ridiculously scared of water, getting him waist deep in it is a miracle, and should be considered very rare. He does not enjoy it and cannot stand being shove in, or held under, it can be life threatening to those who would try. When around water, Des is not one to joke with. A situation in the past caused this fear within him and it's completely involuntary.

Heights - He simply hates heights, not something you'd expect of a demon, especially a demon with cat-like traits, but not all cats land on their feet, and Des recognizes this as cold, hard fact, he has experienced a very bad fall in the past and as such he tends to avoid them now, just in case.

Black Smithing - Des can make very complicated weapons with very little material! The problem is if you were to run up to Des and tell him to make a simple short sword? He wouldn't know how to do it, you'd get some freaky short weapon glowing purple, covered in runes and sporting two or three hooks on either side. Maybe with the words short sword engraved in it somewhere.

Enchanting - Being a demon not only does he have a natural grasp of the arcane, but he can use this in a manner that allows him to enchant items with interesting capabilities. His weapons for example, when he has sufficient material he can craft very powerful spells and enhance his [or other people's] weapons with some effort. The most he has ever done, on a side note, is to channel his own energy attacks through his weapons. Making them more or less catalysts through which he can channel his power.

Survival - Living for years in Hell and even longer in the mortal realm Des had to learn something, surviving was second nature. Hunting and skinning animals, crafting weapons out of wood and stone, and finding which berries he should and shouldn't eat? Yep, Des knows it.

Black Magic - His grasp of the arcane isn't half as strong as it could be, with training of course, just like anything else, he could become a very powerful warlock, the only problem with this is that Des finds all magicians and spell slingers to be cheaters. Preferring hand to hand combat much more. As is he has a mastery over Fire. He is adept in all techniques water based and can manipulate it well. Recently he's begun to further his studies.

Veteran Soldier - Des is old. Very, very old. In his time, he's learned how to defend himself with multiple weapons, he has served in many armies from many different forces in many different kingdoms. From swords to maces, if it causes damage, Des can wield it competently, the -only- weapon he will not use is a whip, not because it's difficult but for simple personal reasons.

Unarmed Combat. - Close quarters, every fight isn't going to go down with weapons. Des fights dirty when you take his weapons away, from the razor sharp claws that tip each of his fingers to the sharp teeth which line his gums, Des is a killing machine, with or without his blades. Not mentioning with all the strength at his disposal he can pack quite a punch.

Fire- Yep, that's it. Fire doesn't hurt him. Go at it with anything else.
