  History

  
  Saint Carthgar was a feline priest that preached the grace of life and of law and justice. He was thrice stabbed to his death by his disciples who betrayed him and, years later, became a focus of monasteries and warrior-cults who had an affinity to aid others and deliver justice as well as protection. A subsect of worshipers to a deity of light, they take to the worship of his side of justice and life compared to other parts of the portfolio, like fertility and art.
  
  Sigmund was one such worshiper. A mountain lion who converted as a teenager after the loss of his family, he devoted himself to the cause. He had a calm demeanor usually and enjoyed conversation that was not above his head, though he was prone to anger when wrongs are openly exposed or committed in front of him. He tended to be a very soft feline on the surface, though underneath laid a seething anger at the wickedness of the world. Evil, he claimed, should cease to exist.
  
  After the betrayal of his fellow monks at the monastery, executed here on by politicians wishing to escape law, Sigmund became the last of his fellows. With the destruction of the temple, he picked the title of Avenger and took up the art of blood law and magic, tools to seek out justice against such wrong-doers and ne'er-do-wells. He lacked a squeamishness in the fact he was a warrior and loneliness gave him the drive to carry on by himself. He, alone, would carry Saint Cathgar's word, as many had before him.
  
  

  Appearance

  
  The cougar was built for war. He was trained and, though, somewhat of a smaller stature, he was well-grounded and overly strong. His pelt was light brown on the back and the upper half of his face, black marks in the fur under his eyes and creamy white on the belly and lower half of his head. His mane was trimmed close to his head on the sides and back, the top left long and unfettered, somewhat going over the once blue eyes, now turned an otherworldly white. While being a species that had longer tails, he cut his down to a small stub out of devotion to his beliefs, a symbolic gesture many do not understand.
  
  He wore robes and black and red, an attire chosen after he became the last avenger of his order. Black hood was often pulled back, a horned barbute on his head that revealed little of his face outside his eyes, nose and lips. His shoulders were padded by a cloth mantle, the more armored variation laying ontop of that, latched at the neck and laid with spikes all along the plates on the arm. Lighter plates and padded armor covered his limbs, a thick doublet made as the armor for his chest, robes hiding too much from stray eyes. He was, afterall, a fighter and a monk.
