He sees Hugh's face in everything, even when he closes his eyes. His mind is a swarm of buzzing bees that tell him when the Komodo is near, their bond inseparable. Hugh is the only one who knows how to truly hurt the Hellequin, and how to kill him. Fear of destruction keeps the Imp running, while the need to belong keeps him coming back; a disgusting tug-of-war he cannot win.

  Jack. The first to call him Jack, the Lamia has swept the poor Hellequin right off his feet. She is a scaled vision with a mouth like his own, and he adores her company. Her desire for warmth speaks to his affectionate side, and her vicious temper is a delight for his insanity. There might be a slight infatuation.
