  • Familiar - A small orange manx cat named Socrates.
    
  • Vox Libellus - After years of practice, Velma is now able to coax the grimoire to speak for her at will. When it does, it speaks with the witch's former voice. Due to the fact that her voice actually comes from the book itself, she has a habit of clutching it to her chest, or even wearing it like a miniature charm from a necklace.
  • Shadow Walker - Her shadow is strangely feline, and may sometimes be seen to move and change while she remains still. Given a few moments, she can slip through the darkness to change places with her shadow. There must be enough light to cast a shadow.
  • Third Eye - The small mark on her forehead is enchanted, capable of becoming a glowing eye. It glows green when open, and is able to see even in pitch black darkness, or through illusions.
  • Tacit Casting - Unlike some witches, Velma doesn't need to speak in order to cast her spells. However, complex spells will require writing in her grimoire in order for the magic to actually take place.
  • Glamour - Unable to hide her ears, Velma has taken to hair styles that simply mimic them. She is capable of hiding her tail in the form of a shadow. Her eyes can look human, but will reflect light like any cat's. Her grimoire can be glamoured to appear as any book. It's an excellent way to keep it from attracting attention.
  • Green Bolt - She is capable of sending a sizzling bolt of green energy out towards a target. It will stick and burn, but can be easily put out with liquid, or by being patted out. It's usually enough to startle an enemy, and its burn can convince some creatures not to bother her. Unfortunately, it is rarely strong enough to cause real damage.
  • Transformation - As a Cat Sidhe, Velma is capable of transforming fully into a cat. ...but only nine times. The ninth transformation will see her permanently trapped in that feline shape. As of the moment, she has shifted six times...and that fact has left its mark on her, in the form of feline ears, eyes, and a tail. The more time she spends as a cat, the harder it is to change back, and even to remember her true identity.
  • Bad Luck - Velma is capable of hexing someone with bad luck. This will rarely be anything more serious than stubbing a toe, or a bad hair day, or dropping a cup of coffee.
  • Transmutation - With a silent spell, Velma is capable of altering one facet of an object's reality. She can reheat coffee with the snap of a finger, or chill a soda to just above freezing. She can shift water into alcohol, and vice versa, if she scribbles a spell into her grimoire; it's a little more involved than simply changing temperature. She can't destroy an object or bring it to life, nor can she alter an object in such a way that it would become fatal upon touch or consumption.
  • Aggravate her enough and she'll turn your perfectly matching black outfit into a riot of mismatched shades.
