Asylum: All white clothing, although she enjoys cutting up the top to show off her tattoos and assets
On the street: High waisted jeans, black singlet with a green chequered shirt, a black bomber jacket and black Dr Martens (of course all stolen).
Tattoos
The first tattoos Tilia got were on her hands, the tattoos were done on an impulse, however the designs were not. Although the design of the tattoo is relatively simple there is a deep meaning behind it, Tilia believes to be your wholesome self you need both the good and the bad. The sun represents light, truth and wisdom whilst the moon represents emotion, renewal and shadow. Whilst the symbols on her fingers represent love and hate, many of which came from a satanic book she read when she was 16 years old and going through her gothic phase.
The biggest tattoo on Tilia’s body is this sleeve. Tilia's main purpose of this tattoo was to cover all the scars on her right arm that her father and step-mother inflicted. Tilia put a lot of time and effort into this design and her idea first originated when she came across a man’s poem in some random magazine, it was titled ‘Dark’, in fact she loved it so much she had the words incorporated into the design. Just like the title of the poem her tattoo was dark and it was deliberately designed like that to represent the darkness she has suffered in throughout her entire life.
The last of Tilia’s tattoos is on her left thigh. Tilia got this tattoo when she turned 21, it is cliche but the flowers represent growth and she had different colours incorporated into the design to show she was growing in different ways. Although she has this tattoo she doesn’t like to show it off, it is a much more personal tattoo and is unlikely to tell a stranger her real reasons behind the tattoo.
