    • Occupation: Ellis owns and runs a bar. It's not just any bar though, warded with protection spells and exsisting within a dimensional pocket, only those in need of escape, a listening ear or those who already know where it exists can find it.
    • Religious Predilections: She was raised Catholic,but since coming of age and learning about what she is and what will happen to her if she is found, she has more or less lost any positive view of religion and certainly doesn't practice.

    • Body Type: Very slender and on the petite side of things, although she has wide rounded hips.
    • Hair: Brown
    • Eyes: Green with flecks of gold. When she's angry or something invokes her angelic heritage those flecks of gold seem to catch fire and ember.

    • Distinctive Markings: She has a light smattering of freckles across her nose. No Scars.
    • Body Modifications: None, her body simply heals over piercings and tattoos.

    • Orientation: Heterosexual for the most part, but after a few drinks, and with the right persuasion...
    • Relationships: None - she is incredibly hesitant to get close to people as it tends to put them in danger.
    • Turn Ons: Strong Dominant personalities, being treated somewhat agressively so long as respect and consent are given. Massage, flirtatious banter, confident partners.
    • Turn Offs: Those who are sexually agressive without consent, and those who treat her as lesser. She doesn't particularily value inexperience or timidness in her partners.
    • Family: Her Mother died years ago, and her Father who is still very much alive, wants her dead. She has no siblings.
    • Pets: She has a pair of Dobermans named Bully and Doofus. They are trained attack dogs, but lovable in their own right.
    • Personality: Determined, cautious in ways that may seem paranoid to others, but most of it is justified, despite this she can be remarkably brave when the situation calls for it. She works hard and plays hard too, usually within the confines of her bar. The circumstances of her life have somewhat scarred her, which makes her emotionally distant and afraid of the affect she might have on the lives of others. She is capable of great kindness and compassion but it is buried beneath a pile of self loathing.
    • Mannerisms: She doesn't know her own strength and often breaks things unintentionally. She chews her thumb nail when she's nervous or uncomfortable.
    • Likes: Her dogs, her bar, feeling safe, when life is quiet and the booze is cheap. Rock and roll. Cigarettes or weed every once in a while.
    • Dislikes: Her Father, angelic beings in general and she has a healthy distrust for demons as well. Bar fights, broken glass and country music. A lot of the time she dislikes herself too.
    • Hobbies: She plays darts and cards, and minds her bar. She does a bit of photography for fun.
    • Vices: She drinks pretty often and occassionaly smokes.
    • Special Abilities: Her abilities are often incontrollable, one of the many reasons she lives her life in self imposed seclusion. She is extremely strong, far more so then is humanly possible, and often she hurts others without intending to. She often invades the dreams of the people she thinks about, never intentionally. She heals rapidly. She is able to weild some angelic magic, but to a catastrophic end. She cannot control what happens when it happens, and it has killed as many people as it has saved.
    • Other Oddities: When she is not invoking the angelic magic of her roots, she has absolutely no magical aura, even those that are able to sense such things would have no idea she was anything but human without seeing the evidence of such.
    • Skills: Mixing drinks, Poker, Taking pictures, she is good at creating wards and incantations specific to protection and binding.
    • Weaknesses: She is heavily traumatized and often emotionally distant. If her heart or her head are injured fatally she will not heal. Wounds made by angelic or demonic magic or matter will not heal rapidly. She doesn't sleep enough. She is being hunted by Angels and demons alike for different reasons. Angels want her dead because she defies the natural order and is seen as a half-breed, whereas her blood and heart if ingested will give a demon power beyond their imagination.

  • About Ellis

    Ellis's life started off fairly normally. She was born to a single mother in Dublin Ireland, and was raised in a strong Catholic community with the help of her Maternal Grandparents in the more rural outskirts of the city who helped raise her to be a moral and hard working young woman on the path to success. Her Mother, who harbored delusions of having been impregnated by an angelic being, spent this time in an out of hospitals. Ellis never faulted her mother for her mental illness and despite her long absences always had a good strong relationship with the woman throughout her childhood.

    This was just as well, because when she was 15 and started to exhibit abilities not possible of a human being, it became apparent that her mothers 'delusions' were in fact a reality. It all started very simply at first, she didn't get ill, and seemed to have boundless energy. Her injuries healed excessively quickly and in time she became appearing in the dreams of her Mother and Grandparents, dreams that they would all remember upon waking.

    It didn't stay charming for long though, when she reached 17 her powers fully developed things quickly turned from charmingly magical to dangerously chaotic. Her body was strengthened to the point where she became dangerous to others, playing tug with her family dog ended in a broken jaw for the animal which resulted in him having to be put down, and a hug after her graduation ceremony shattered her grandfather's ribcage, sending debris into his lungs. As he lay dying, waiting for the ambulance to come and get him, Ellis overcome with grief and guilt, manifested overpowering angelic energy. Overcome with the sudden knowledge that she could heal him she reached out to touch him, and instead smote him, killing him instantly.

    The reality of the uncontrolled nature of her abilities was too much for her to bare, her Grandmother was now frightened of her, and her Mother as well though she would never admit such a thing. Ellis didn't blame them, she was frightened of herself.

    Seeking answers, she ran away from home in the night, and through careful research learned of a way to summon her Father from the heavens. Doing this proved to be a grave mistake. The man had no Fatherly love for her. He saw her instead as an abomination. He tried and almost succeeded in killing her, and though she escaped that incident by the skin of her teeth, the damage was forever done. The secret of her existence was out, the angels would stop at nothing to destroy her. It wasn't long before others learned of her existence as well. Demons and tricksters, those craving power and knowing they could gain it through killing and consuming her began to hunt her as well. They drew her out of hiding by killing those she loved, one by one, everyone who had ever helped her, had ever loved her or supported her were killed by one of her many pursuers simply because she had the audacity to exist.

    Beaten down and traumatized by life, and unable to do nothing but keep running and hiding for her life, Ellis sought the help of a powerful and sympathetic witch, and together they created an elegant solution.

  • The Hidey Hole Tavern

    Having reached a point of desperation in need of a safe place to stay, Ellis turned to an extremely powerful witch for help. Together they created The Hidey-Hole Tavern, a bar and inn residing within a dimensional pocket. It is everywhere and nowhere all at once, and within the confines of this tavern is the one place Ellis cannot be found by her many pursuers.

    The tavern is staffed by Ellis day and night, and appears in back allies all around the world. It appears to those in need of shelter and safety, a listening ear, a friend or an escape, so long as they harbor no malicious intent. Those that have found it once can always find it again. As safe as it typically is, this is not a flawless system as people can be somewhat unpredictable and though they may not have had ill-intent to begin with, it could develop while they are there. It also can't account for those who believe they are doing right, but are not.

    Being that the Tavern exists outside of the universe, time does not pass here, Ellis does not age, and day and night mean nothing. The clock over the counter reads 12:08 Am at all hours.

    Ellis is thankful for her little sanctuary, and in many ways enjoys the work and the people she meets. Living life in a self-imposed prison isn't easy though, and she is lonelier here than she cares to admit. At the same time, she doesn't dare let anyone close to her for fear of what she could do to them. Prison or not, she knows it's for the best and has only left a handful of times in the ten years she has lived there.
