  PLEASE NOTE: Solona is a very particular character. While she often appears morally just, she can very easily become the antagonist to an RP. In other words, a justified villain. I try to keep her on the safe side, but simply know that she may very well betray your character at the end should the RP permit it. If this isn't in your game, then make sure to mention it. Thanks!

• Basic Info

  Name (& pronunciation): Solona Amell (So-Low-Nah - HENCE THE NAMEEE, she's my most well developed OC so I typically use her with RPs)
  
  Date of Birth (& age): Her age is defined by the RP, but generally around 22
  
  Place of Birth: Kirkwall (Large city with a massive port)
  
  Gender: Female
  
  Species/Racial Origin: Human (mage)
  
  Social Class/Community Status: She is a mage, and therefore has little social standing, even with her noble background. (depends on RP)
  
  Family/Friends/Pets/Etc: Revka Amell is her mother. It is assumed through information that Solona had 4 other siblings, all who were tainted with magic and taken away. She appears to be the youngest, and all other siblings have either died or vanished, and her parents have long since passed away. She holds no care for them.

• Appearance

  Height: 5'8'', slightly taller than the average height for women
  
  Weight: 125 lbs, slightly unhealthy, but not uncommon in medieval times
  
  Hair: incredibly long (Past her waist), dark red hair. She has never cut her hair before, so its length is disastrous. She often ties it into a bun for mere practicality. finding her hair undone is rare.
  
  Eyes: She has very dark colored eyes, nearly black, like many in the Amell family have. Her eyes are almond, not round, and therefore give her a slightly saddened expression. She often closes them when in thought.
  
  Limb Dexterity: She is thin and bird-like, and has strong shoulders. She has thin and nimble hands and fingers, with a long neck and lanky arms. She was once teased as a young adult that she looked like a goose by some of the other mages... quite tragic.
  
  Detailed Physical Description: Pale skin and dark rings around the eyes. She has angular features with rounded cheeks, a pointed nose and almond shaped eyes. While she isn't necessarily unattractive, she lacks the finesse of makeup and hair skills, and therefore leaves herself with her basic appearance. She rarely smiles, giving her a more sorrowful expression than intended, and her thin features combined with her deep but soft voice and blank expression give her a simplistic image, and she often blends into crowds because of it.
  
  TypicalClothing/Equipment: Here She wears the typical robes of a Circle Mage, and occasionally adorns a simplistic white dress. She doesn't care for jewelry, nor can she afford it.

• Personality

  Personality/Attitude: A quiet and deep thinking woman who is trapped inside the walls of the circle. Thoughtful and understanding, she is good at relating to people and understands how to connect with others, but finds it much harder to speak to them. She is not shy, but prefers to distance herself from others. She is independent and doesn't always like to talk, preferring to stay in her mind. She is morally good and respects justification for any immoral action. But unlike many, she sees the big picture and knows that sometimes death is necessary, and believes magic should be taken seriously. Because of this, some see her as cryptic and cold, although she never directly shows it. She often lacks humor at the best of times, and occasionally closes in on herself when pressure is on. Most perceive as naive and gentle, which is completely wrong. She is not ignorant, nor oblivious. Solona simply prefers to stay detached from the world and its weighing issues. Her view upon people themselves is quite pessimistic, possibly due to her current living conditions and lack of attachment to any real stable source of comfort and stability. Despite her outwardly detached appearance, she's loving in her own way, and prefers to support others with advice and stability. She often appears motherly to those she cares for. But she can also become absorbed with meaning and determination. Her biggest flaw is possibly her obsession to unwind the truth revolving around religion and magic. She's a firm believer in Andraste, but every day she learns something that shakes her faith, and her fading hope in the words of the Maker tears her apart.
  
  Skills/Talents: Spirit Healing, many other magical capabilities, and a very good memory. She pays close attention to details. Unfortunately, Spirit Healers are both common and hardly impressive, so Solona tries to focus her magic on other practical means such as elemental magic.
  
  Favorites/Likes: Nature and culture. She enjoys art and music, as well as reading. She also enjoys understanding people, as both individuals and as a whole, and tries to understand what drives each person. Not because she's interested in people. Only because she likes to compare others to herself. She also has a love for history, and often takes the lessons inside it too far. Prophecy's, Ciphers, and Legends excite her incredibly, and she'd do much to prove any truth within them. In her mind, you must seek truth in every corner. No matter the means.
  
  Most Hated/Dislikes: Cares little for materialistic things and finds it annoying to see people throw money around. She doesn't care for brutality and cruel nature. But she also doesn't care for instant kindness and given trust, as she thinks all people should think before making judgement on anything or anyone. People who talk without reason tick her off immensely.
  
  Goals/Ambitions: To never be overcome by a demon (for obvious reasons, and she's also petrified of them), and to help contribution to society and mages at the same time. She looks for a peaceful solution, but if mages come out on top, she won't complain. That being said, she doesn't really identify with the mages themselves, and really just wants to do her research and focus on finding what she needs.
  
  Strengths: Spirit healer, she finds defensive and restoration spells to come naturally, as well as being a battle mage and controlling typical elements. While not exactly tactical, she's innovative in her way.
  
  Weaknesses: Physically weak (her magic keeps her safe usually) and often mistrusting for dumb reasons. She sees people as the ultimate evil and rarely trusts in their word, as people themselves cause constant war and fear among their own. But she also can't seem to make up her mind on subjects. She is incredibly obsessive with mysteries and secrets.
  
  Fears: Demons. They keep her up at night, constantly frightened that her mind will slip from her and release an abomination to the world. She doesn't enjoy the fade either, as well as templars and sometimes even other mages. She isn't often scared of other people though, and rarely do creatures or punishment frighten her.
  
  Hobbies/Interests: ELVEN CULTURE! She adores the culture of the elves, for magic seems to stem the strongest from them. She finds peace in nature, as being in the circle means she rarely sees it. And history, legends, and concepts are her favorite topics to ponder.
  
  Regular Routine: Much of her time is spent reading and studying or working on a book. She's hardly known as an author, but be that as it may, she feels pride in her work. Besides that, running errands for higher mages and continuing lessons takes up the rest of her time.
  
  Philosophy of Life: To contribute, for doing nothing at all is a selfish way to serve. She thinks all people should strive to create or change things, no matter how small. But in all, she thinks the world needs to burn. Not out of fury or hatred. But because they've become so flawed in their ways.
  
  Religion/Beliefs: She strongly believes in using magic for man, and not as a means to create or destroy. She sees magic as a tool to serve, as does the Chantry. But while she finds herself believing in Andraste, her faith is shaky and often falls when karma fails to strike or when the world becomes cruel. That being said, it takes very little for her to hate the Chantry. Discovering other religions is enjoyable to her, but for the most part, she laughs at the silly ideas that people seem to create.
  
  Fetishes/Strange Behaviors: She is strongly against magic such as necromancy and blood magic, as well as weary around Templars. As for more personal matters, she occasionally mumbles to herself, picks at things with her fingertips, and daydreams almost always. She has a thing for tall men or women.
  
  Sexual Preference/Experience/Values: She is more geared towards men, but has found women attractive before. She is unsure of whether she truly wants love or not, as it seems to complicate the mind in the world of ways, and quite frankly she hasn't really felt connected to anyone as well. While inexperienced, she's learned plenty from the other mages of the circle and their secret activities, so there's no surprises about it. As for sex, she secretly has the drive for it, but often pretends to not care for it, or chooses not to think of it at all, as its not something that should really be on the mind.
  
  Education/Special Training: She has received high marks for her work in the circle, intelligent and innovative as they come. But her independent studies are focused on practical magic and religion, boring as far as research goes.
  
  Place/Type of Residence: Circle of Magi in Ferelden. Should this be different from the RP, then she will most likely serve in a library or study of her own.
  
  Occupation: She is an author, but one who works under a different name, as no one would be willing to read a book by an infamous Amell child, nor a mage. She enjoys finding ways to use magic for good or innovative ways. And of course, finding answers.
  
  Additional Notes
  ~Solona is secretly an eavesdropper, and finds it humorous to discover the things people so desperately try to hide
  
  ~​​​​​​​Cullen, a Templar, and a few other armored men have caught her eye before. But being odd as she is, and being slightly petrified of Templars, Solona has done nothing more than gawking at them when they turned away.
  
  ~Despite close ties with Jowan and Finn, Niall is her closest companion in the Circle, and enjoys spending time with him.​​​​​​
