  • Back to the Tavern August 2nd 1987

    August 2, 1987
    
    I lost her, and the baby inside her. I'm not sure where she went and why she never returned but she is gone and I'm alone again. I've decided to go back to the tavern... I'm not exactly sure why but it feels safe. It feels like home. Those Kubas would never find me there and even if they did I'm sure Axel would handle them just like Frost said he would. But.. what if.. no one's there? What if the Kubas already came and got to them in my absence? I don't believe I would ever forgive myself. Just like I could never forgive myself for letting that feline whose name I never had got disappear. I hope I bump into her before I get into the tavern, maybe she and the baby would like it there too.
    
    Mahogani closed her journal after looking over her first entry, then got up and packed up her satchel. She began walking but she was thinking of the feline, in hopes that she was okay. She wasn't sure if that would lead her back to where she was trying to go but...
    
    She made it. Before her as she exited the woods, she saw a tavern.
    
    She walked inside with hopes that others would be there. But no one was there!

  • The Pregnant Feline August 1st 1987

    Through the woods Mahogani walked until she felt herself growing hungry. It was then she realized that she had missed the old beautiful tavern but she was far from there. She found herself yearning to return, to talk to Frost, and throw more paper balls at the sleeping manager named Axel. She had remembered that Frost said that it wouldn't be hard to return; she would just have to want to be there when going through the forest.
    
    Mahogani traveled through the forest, the tavern on her mind as she crept through the trees and trees of what she hoped to lead her to her destination. Then she heard a snap of a twig and her mind lost The Phoenix Tavern and now wanted to know what that sound was. She kept walking in search of the sound and ended up in a town, a rather large town that seemed bustling; something that wasn't so at the tavern at all. Her eyes lingered through the buildings, the people that appeared more human-like than the anthro that she was.
    
    Walking up the streets, she noticed a building with a large sign that indicated that she had found yet another place to receive a meal and some food. In her search, she had found gold laying in the forest and had put it in the small satchel that she carried.
    
    What was once Terminus resembled this place and lot and Mahogani found herself wondering more about this place. As she walked into the settlement, finding it a bit cozy-- it was missing something that the tavern did have. She had ordered doughnuts and orange juice, without the liquor this time, and in her wait was greeted with the physical appearance of a pregnant feline. She was the first she had seen that even slightly resembled the characteristics of herself. She said nothing to her though, despite her curiosity.
    
    Suddenly, an altercation broke out right in front of Mahogani. The feline was being handled roughly by the tender of the bar!
    
    Mahogani sprung into action and drew her small dagger on the man, threatening for him with it as he ordered him to let her go. The man did as told and everyone fled the scene to get authorities involved. Mahogani was quick, grabbing the feline, and scavenging whatever was left behind in the bar; which happened to be a rather large satchel that could be carried on her torso, her doughnuts, and a journal with a pen alongside a few pieces of gold that counted up to 150.
    
    Mahogani and the feline found themselves back in the magical forest that she knew to lead to The Phoenix Tavern. Once there and feeling safe, the two relaxed only for a moment where the feline wandered off into the forest. She never returned though, Mahogani was alone again.

  • Staying or leaving? August 1st 1987

    Staying up all night had worn the canine out and soon she had found herself sound asleep at the bar with her belly full with doughnuts and liquor induced orange juice. After a nice conversation with the tender that called himself Frost, she had decided that maybe the Inn was for her. She was supposed to meet with the owner, her name was Serefina, but she was indeed away.
    
    When she had awoke, her eyes seeing blur as she looked around the area to realize that everyone was gone-- except Frost of course. She got up and began to explore the land, spotting not only the guest housing but the estate in which Serefina lived. She knocked on the door but there was no answer.
    
    She visited the library and eyed a few books, a memorial for a feline that she had never known, and a garden that was even more beautiful than she had suspected. Suddenly, she began to drift off into the woods. She would again return to the Tavern that had won her heart with beautifully made doughnuts and even better orange juice, but for now, she would travel once more in search of another realm. In search to meet others alike.

  • The Tavern July 31st 1987

    Journeying across the lands, through a forest, for what seemed like days where she scavenged and fought off others she stumbled upon a small cavern. One that seemed quiet when within. Inside, there we were people- yet asleep, and soon, it came to life. She walked to the bar and met with the tender of the tavern, Frost, where he introduced her to glazed doughnuts, blessing her with a smile she had not felt in years since the incident at Terminus. She decided on if she should share her story....
