A tall man, who appears to be of some sort of Middle Eastern descent. His hair hangs in waves, almost curls well past his ears, almost to his shoulders. His eyes a bright shade of red, and seem to have a sort of hazy glow to them. The darker it gets the brighter the glow of his eyes. The fact that he is a being of shadow isn't exactly a secret with this man, as he seems far too fond of them, and, in fact, the shadows seem to try to reach out and keep close to him. Upon his left eye, one will find a rather lengthy scar, but beyond this small detail, nothing else about him stands out.

Shadow Walking
This can be equated to planar shifting in a sense. Bael'ali has the capability of using any shadow nearby him to actually slip/shift/step into the shadows to disappear from view. While he is within these shadows he cannot be the target of spells and he can not be attacked except by others who can walk the shadows. Just as he can disappear in any shadow, he can step out of any shadow, and not necessarily the same shadow. He can tell exactly where it is he's going, and can even find someone within these shadows. It is one of the ways he uses to track prey or those of his own kind. Keep in mind, the shadows are everywhere.

Shadow Manipulation
This can be similar to any elemental manipulation. Bael'ali can pull, push, and make tangible the shadows around him. Smaller more dense shadows are the easiest for him to use, while larger far more spread and thin shadows are harder. However, one has to keep in mind that he's grown up with this ability, so his limitations in using it aren't as profound.

Telepathy
In feral form, this is the means in which Bael'ali typically uses to talk. A sort of mental speech using the shadows as a connection between himself and the intended recipiant. It is a thing he can do when even in Elven form, but generally he relies on his own verbal speech to do so.

Shadow Communication
Bael'ali's faith in the shadows is not different than a druid's faith in nature, or a paladin's faith in the light. He knows that the shadows have a soul, a spirit, as does every element, and as such the shadows breath, they eat, and they even speak. It is because of this that Bael'ali can communicate with the shadows. He can talk to them, as much as they can talk to him. This does not mean the shadows tell him everything, however. But should he ask it questions, he's likely to get the answers he seeks, without the bias of human nature.

Shadow Conjuring
Bael'ali has the capability of summoning shadows if he finds he needs them. It doesn't matter if it's bright, or dark. The amount of concentration and focus needed, does change, however. If blanketed in darkness, he is already surrounded by shadow, making focus on shadow conjuring that much harder, if only because what he would need to conjure would have to be denser then that which he's surrounded by. However, if he's in the middle of an open field in broad daylight, conjuring shadow is not as difficult, and takes less focus as he has all of what he needs around him to be able to and has no real need to make the shadow extremely dense for it to be there, to be visible and separate from that which is around him.

Shadow Creatures
As Bael'ali is a shadow creature himself, born of shadows, having lived in shadow, he has the ability to call on others like him. Whether these creatures are of a different nature, race, species or his own depends on what he calls upon. Make no mistake he can and will call upon other Daeven if he feels the need to. So if you ever think you have him backed into a corner, consider that perhaps that's exactly what he wants you to think.
