Aragon-5

In life, Aragon-5 and his brother Cyrus-4 were scientists at the Ishtar Academy, working alongside others to discover the secrets of the Vex. Despite being Exo (usually property of Ishtar’s rival, Clovis Bray) they had no intent to deliver this knowledge to them. During the Collapse, he and his brother nearly escaped, only to falter and fail. When he awoke as a Guardian, he was lead immediately to the Last City, where he accumulated a good store of knowledge in the ways of the modern world.

On a returning mission to Venus, he and his brother was captured by the Vex armada of Thyrkeon after the loss of his arm, legs, and half of his face to their Slap Rifles. They were taken, bound, and ‘upgraded’ with Vex tech, partially becoming one of them by force. While Aragon was thrown back to the Guardians, who now mostly distrust him due to his appearance, his brother received a far worse fate: direct control by the Mind that took him. Aragon began sessions with Asher Mir, a fellow Vex amputee, to help control the Radiolarian fluid, to keep him from losing control. When he learned his brother’s fate, he discreetly sent three trusted friends to release him from his captivity. In the end, Cyrus was defeated, and brought to Aragon on Venus, who sought to escape the stern gaze of Zavala, who distrusted him due to his nature. (Though their relationship has somewhat bettered, they still remain at odds on certain topics.) Aragon works to revive and restore Cyrus, hoping that by bringing him back, he can find a way to restore himself.
