  • Pack Life

    Adam Toombs is the younger brother of the Toombs pack alpha; a big sister that earned the role with all the charm and grace a young leader should have. Their elders agreed to step down without a blink, and Adam let himself stay in her shadow. She's good at her job, good at being the firm responsible one out of the two, and he'd never want it from her.

    He's always grown up surrounded by other wolves, and was raised to keep it to Rochet, keep it at home and to treat the rest of New Versailles as if fragile. Gentle touches, kind words; Toombs pups might be the genuine southern hospitality article.

    Recent storm this summer displaced a lot of them, including Adam, who's working on possible new digs as well as been tasked with finding at least a handful of strays and inducting them into the pack. Formally. Build up their lost numbers.   • Wolf Traits

    Size || Direwolves vary in size, rounding around 3-4 feet in shoulder height. Similar to the Yukon wolf. Rarely do they get bigger, unless a mutt with an anthropomorphic werewolf lineage. Which generally doesn't look pretty, and direwolf genes are dominant, forcing these sort of mutts to stay on all fours.

    Aging || At maturity, they hit a slower aging cycle. Reverse canine years, six-seven years equal out to one year. Can definitely vary with physical health, not a guarantee. Rougher on body will shorten lifespan. As they hit 'old age', eighties in appearance usually, they start to lose their control over shifting and will spend the last of their lives as a wolf. Will generally lose enhanced senses and fade into a wolf; colorblindness for sure and feral until the end.

    Healing Abilities || Toombs wolves have pretty much instant healing. Any breeding outside shifters can cause this to be weaker, and some abilities won't appear in every wolf. Their bodily fluids cure most disease; licking a wound to sanitize and speed up healing, blood can be the best sort of vitamins. Touch can borrow the pain or sickness for a few hours; doesn't cure, but dulls. A really good muscle relaxer or pain killer. Tattoos take a certain kind of ink to stick (or constant touch ups otherwise).

    lol but like their bodily fluids heals other living things so like. licking wounds to speed em up. they can also like. steal illness/pain through touch if they're close to the person.
