  mordecai attended havencrest when he turned 12. since it was a boarding school, he remained there for the next four years, only returning home for the holidays. ever since he was young, he's showed a lot of interest in the magical creatures of their world. his parents got him a puffskein when he was 5, and that started his life long decision to become one of the best tamers.
  
  since one of his siblings are non-magical, the twins attended regular school, much to their mother's ire. but there was nothing they could do except support them. mordecai cares deeply for his siblings and will often send them packages of things he finds. emilia doesn't do a lot of magic, since her twin cannot. she doesn't mind at all. the most magic she'll use is to help clean up around the apartment she and her brother, emmett, share. she does, however, have a gift for potions, so mordecai sends her items that will help with different things.

  it's usually his younger students that do not know any better when dealing with these creatures. so the beginner classes are able to interact with nibblers and bowtruckles, while his advanced classes get to look at the creatures mordecai keeps in his dimensional room, such as cockatrice, wumpas cat, and graphorns

  Mordecai was an easy person to get along with. He was a social butterfly, but even they need down time. Those down times he likes to spend time with his partner, another professor at Havencrest. When he's not teaching, Mordecai can be found in his dimensional room, taking care of the many creatures that inhabit it. He's also known to actually fall asleep there as well.
  
  He is a very picky eater, preferring meats over vegetables and doesn't like his food touching each other. While Mordecai enjoys drinking, he will only do it within the pub because he can be a responsible adult when it really matters. He is one of the teachers who is in charge of the night watch; making sure students are out sneaking around after curfew.
