    GRAEME

    Graeme is first of all Scottish (in case the name didn't give it away). Graeme is a shapeshifter and a rare one who happens to be the last of his kind. Graeme is a dragon shifter (sometimes referred to as "Dragen"). At 985 years old Graeme has seen his fair share of all that life has to offer. Many "dragen" are hot-headed and have a real lack of humanity. Graeme, however, is the last of his kind and also has had almost a century to learn at least a small bit of compassion and keep his temper under check. He isn't perfect, but he's much more composed then a lot of his kind were known to be. Graeme travels the world and has been many places but he calls Scotland home and that is where he feels more at ease. He lives off an island in the woods where no humans dare to inhabit. He likes it that way.

    Graeme was born in a time where dragons were not such a hard theory to grasp. Not that they were ever common, of course, but not nearly as rare or unheard of as dragons in modern times are. When Graeme was just a young "dragen" his family was subjected to the dragon wars of the time. This affected not only non-shifters who were dragons but often times the dragon shifters got involved as well. Graeme's two brothers and parents were killed in the wars even though he had barely made it out alive.


    After the wars he spent most of his time in his human form, trying to blend in with humanity rather than be caught for what he was. He had built a home off the grid in Scotland to keep his treasures and sleep in peace, but the home remained mostly empty since Graeme was alone. It was common for the "dragen" to take mates, but after the wars females were scarce. Then, they'd eventually become extinct. Human women couldn't usually survive mating and carrying dragen young, so that option had been out for Graeme. His family had been killed off, and that meant he only had himself to look after.

    The years were long and lonely. He had befriended humans but none that he could be his true self around. He already stood out enough. His human form is a startling 6'8" feet tall with a heavily muscled frame. His dragon form, well.... that certainly stands out in a crowd. Over the years Graeme had felt like he was tired of residing on the earth. He'd anchored himself under in the sea and even that had not killed him. Unfortunately for him, he'd learned not much could kill a dragon shifter. Now he is a mercenary of sorts, taking on dangerous jobs that no one else wants to take on. Dragen are very vain and enjoy treasure (whether that be money or actual jewels, gold, etc). Graeme has spent his near-century collecting lots of treasures.
