Victoria Van Judit

History

• Childhood

  Born to a noble family in Everstill Greens, Highmount, Victoria's life was, naturally, pampered. She was also, naturally, spoiled. She was born to not only nobles, but the most influential and powerful noble family at her place of birth. She had no siblings and formed a friendship with one of the servants, a servant named Jade.
  
  Unfortunately, her childhood was going to be headed for disaster. her life was normal as any noble born child until the age of five, when disaster struck. One day, as normal as any other, Victoria was going with her friend, the servant, Jade to the foreign markets just outside of town, every year the foreign countries would set up stalls right out side the cities of other countries so that people who had the money, could buy exotic goods. While Jade would pick up items requested by the Van Judits, the noble family she was in the employ of, the one to which Victoria was born to, She would go to the woods and let Victoria play just on the edge of the woods. But that time, Victoria had pleaded to be able to go in deeper and against her better judgement, Jade had agreed. Of course, Victoria had got lost in the deep woods. The servant had then looked for her, however, she got accosted by a pack of feral wolves, they attacked her and then proceeded to eat her. While still alive, she had let out a blood-curdling scream. Victoria, rushed towards the scream, it had stopped and she slowed, but she kept walking towards where she heard it. She found it, her friend was there, dead and in a pile of gore, the wolves were still eating her, chunks of flesh were all over the place, her head was torn off, blood gushing form the many tears and wounds. Her guts were hanging out her open and exposed stomach, a truly horrible sight for anyone, let alone a five year old. The wolves eyed her threateningly, for she was too close to their hard earned meal. She ran, ran and ran. She kept running but fortunately there was no pursuit, sadly however, she was lost, even deeper now after she had ran in the huge Everstill Green woods the trees were very close and tall. The deeper one went, the darker and more dangerous it would be.
  
  Young Victoria had no choice but to survive on her own. She had to learn her how to survive with no guidance or die, she learned. She hunted to eat, hid to sleep so the creatures of the woods wouldn't kill her while she slept. She become one with the woods, it was now her home, at least, for a year.
  
  Her luck changed when a family, a common family on a hike had found her. They took the six year old away from the woods and into their home, and they raised her like a daughter, she was no longer pampered and didn't have servants at her back and call. She had chores to do, she had to perform her duties but they treated her well and there was more time spent together than with her noble parents, that were always out and almost never home. This was her new family, her true family. She loved this family more than her own. They loved her, it was a true family. Being in a common family, mannerisms and such was never a real issue. She had lived with them for the rest of her childhood and into her teens...

• Teen Years

  Not growing up with being taught proper social skills, although intelligent, Victoria was still childish even in her teens. She was forced to learn to read an write just before entering her teens, as it was the law of the land she lived in.
  
  It was then that a traveling arms-master(Blade-master) would be staying in the commons offering discounted but still somewhat expensive lessons in swordplay. Victoria was always fascinated by the tales of knights and adventures she wanted to be like them one day, the thoughts of a child, but she didn't realize nor care. The arms-master would make rounds and fate would have it that he and Victoria bumped into each other, she had heard rumors about the man but little else, now he was there in front of her. They had talked and the man grew to like her, so much so that he offered her a few free lessons, but if she wanted to go further, she'd have to pay like everyone else. Her newly found family was poor, not in a bad way but they didn't have enough for luxuries. Her father suggested she gets a job that would pay for it, she was old enough for certain jobs and for being an apprentice.
  
  She became the local blacksmith's apprentice, the money she revived was enough for her to pay for the lessons, and so she gained her skills in swordplay and smithing for many years, he also taught her hand-to-hand combat.This lasted until the end of year she turned eighteen, he had given her a broadsword with his name on it and she promised him she'd never lose a fight. she continued to work the smithy. But again, her life was going to be heading for disaster. A month after her nineteeth birthday, the Van Judits caught wind of the which common family had her. They had paid spies to watch her and eventually they deiced to take action. Cutthroats came knocking on the door, they wore the emblem of the noble van Judit family and had proclaimed that the family must die by order of the Van Judits. So they had killed the entire family except for Victoria. The Van Judits wanted her to watch her "family" to die before she did. This shattered her, she had everything that made her happy, her family was taken from her and her blood related former family had been lost to her, only now to come back and betray her, to kill off the family that raised her. Now she was only offered her death.
  
  Faced with her family's death, the ones that meant everything to her, she drew the sword her master gave her and slew the two killers, she was filled with hatred for the Van Judits and felt cursed to have to carry that name, She fled from her home and then went off, becoming an adventurer and wanderer.
