• Biography

  The spawn of a demon, Oni is man who struggles to accept his demonic heritage and fights to suppress the demonic powers within him. It is because of both his will to be a better man and his urge to train his natural instincts, Oni takes it upon himself to choose a path of enlightenment through the study and practice of martial arts. As a naturally competitive and bloodthirsty young man, however, this particular path towards enlightenment can prove to be extremely tough despite the iron-clad will that he tries to encompass and possess - this is especially the case when Oni gives in to his demonic side.
  
  Throughout Onimusha's history, he has encountered other demons in the human world. This all occurred as happenstance: a demon may encounter Oni to pursue a fight and/or Oni encounters demons in the middle of their own crimes. Using his martial arts, Onimusha would feel inclined to stop demons from successfully committing crimes due to his resentment of demonic activity. This has made Oni a wanted man in the demon world. And thus, any separation from his demonic heritage would become even more difficult the more he is exposed to it.
