"Hey, watch it kid!" A loud voice suddenly yelled somewhere right in front of him. "You almost knocked me into the rails! You tryna kill me?"
There was a shove and Klein got pushed back into the crowd, which immediately pushed him stumbling forward. The angry man thought that it was an act of aggression and immediately grabbed him by the collar, yelling and threatening him with a punch or a slap, he couldn't really see so he wasn't sure.
Then something went down on his face that sent him sprawling on to the dirty tiles. A punch then huh, Klein sighed as he checked his face for cuts or bruises. It wasn't the first time a misunderstanding had lead to fighting, so now it didn't faze him as much anymore.
He waited until a couple of trains have changed the crowd on the platform before getting in on one himself. He preferred to leave people thinking that they've hurt a normal person than being found out he was blind. Because that would lead to so much embarrassing apologies, a very uncomfortable commotion, and unwanted attention.

A man in a world of constant black.
A troubled young man who had just turned twenty last Saturday and celebrated it by purposely missing work to spend the whole weekend listening to movies at his tiny apartment. Tough guy with a chip on his shoulder and a pair of piercing blues that wasn't really good for anything except looking pretty.
Constantly barraged with "Look at me when I'm talking to you!" had instilled in him the habit of staring directly into the face of whoever it was he was talking to. Unnerving to say the least, but he somehow made it come off like he was really into that person. Cue in numerous cases of misinterpreted notions. It helped that the city takes kindly to ruggedly good looks—not that it was a positive thing to admit—but Klein really needed all the help he can get.
