• Biography

  Drew was born Andrea Rose Santiago, but that all changed soon after her birth. When Drew was born her parents wanted absolutely nothing to do with her, so they gave her up to her aunt and uncle who would love her as if she was their own. Her last name switched from Santiago to Ramirez and the rest is history. She grew up in a middle-class family, an only child since her mother couldn’t have children she found out later. She got anything she wanted and she was definitely a daddy’s girl. Her life was perfect and she knew it, she didn’t take it for granted one bit until she found out she was adopted. She always knew something was different about her because of the way she was treated at family gatherings and such but her mother always sheltered her from the real cold hard truth, Drew was adopted.
  It all happened one fall night, her mother Elena, her father Victor, and Drew were all crowded around a family fire listening to the old legends about their ancestors, it was a tradition for this to occur during family reunions. Drew was twelve at the time and was an extreme realist for her age so she could clearly tell some of the stories were a bit fabricated for entertainment purposes. She didn’t mind, of course, but some things just didn’t make sense, so she made the mistake of asking about one of the legends and that didn’t sit well with her already piss drunk older cousin, Luis. He was 22 at the time and ever since Drew was born he didn’t seem to like her one bit and she could never figure out why. He lashed out at her telling her to shut up and that she shouldn’t even be here because she “wasn’t one of us.” Drew was confused but the harsh words and angry glares from her relatives were enough to send her to tears and back inside of her grandmother’s home and into the attic. An hour went by, then two and she realized that no one had come to check on her. Not even her parents! No one had called out to her or even bothered to see if she was okay… she was utterly alone. That day something inside of her broke and after wiping her tears and gaining back her pride she marched back out only to find out her parents were waiting for her by the front door so they could go home. She didn’t say a word to them and they didn’t say a thing to her. That night she even went to bed without saying I love you or kissing her mother and father goodnight for the first time since she could walk and talk. Everything changed for the worse.
  Without even talking to her parents, Drew did her research and glued together the pieces that she was adopted, when she finally confirmed that her heart broke a little more, Luis was right, she wasn’t one of them. She was no one. She rebelled after that. She went weeks at a time without saying a word to her parents, fought in school, snuck out of the house, and her parents didn’t seem to care. She hated them and most of all she hated herself for believing the fantasy of a perfect family they had planted in her head.
  When Drew was 14 she decided she couldn’t take much more of this, her parents wanted nothing to do with her and neither did any of her family so she ran away. While her parents were at work and she was supposed to be at school, Drew quickly grabbed as much as she could, which wasn’t much, and she was long gone by the time it was noon. She had nowhere to go so she settled on walking the direction of the nearest major city until nightfall. She got caught up in the wrong crowd and her much older boyfriend that she found one night after stumbling into the wrong side of town, dragged her around from city to city exposing Drew to a lifestyle of drugs, drinking, and partying. When Drew was sixteen she was kicked to the curb by her boyfriend who left her after being caught underage drinking by the cops. She was sitting in cuffs on the curb by a bar in LA when her savior got the cop to let her off with a warning, saying he would take care of her. Drew was scared shitless, this man looked like the kind of guy her ex would hang out with and force Drew to do unexplainable things with. That man turned out to be Drew's father figure and the man who trained her to be one of the best underground kickboxers in LA. Now Drew, 21 and all grown up, resides in a small loft, close to the bar where she was first found. She suffers from anxiety and anger issues but she is an overall sweetheart if you really get to know her. She has major trust issues but that can be fixed if you stick around past all her outbursts and such.
