• Arwen is as average as Bosmer come. She is especially talented in archery and is often underestimated due to her delicate appearance. The life that her family lives is a very old Bosmeri way of living. It is known as the Green Pact, or the Treaty of Frond and Leaf. Even though it is still practiced among many Bosmer, the Benochs and a couple of other families that live within the Benoch's grove live by the pact's original and traditional rules. This includes the rule of consuming the bodies of enemies and even family members who have died or who have been killed. In other words-- cannibalism. The pact stresses that no plant life or plant product can be consumed or destroyed. Only meat can be consumed. Arwen grew up with this lifestyle and has come to resent it. She sees the hypocrisy and the unethical acts of the pact's rules. As a child, she didn't see any issues with the way of life. But as she became closer with her adopted brother Tharin, her perspective began to drastically change.
  
  Arwen is married to a man named Eridor, a member of another family that practices the old ways of the Treaty of Frond and Leaf. This marriage was not her choice and the matriarchs and the patriarchs of each family decided to have the two bonded by marriage. Eridor is a savage killer on the battlefield. But he is rather gentle and good to Arwen as any husband should be. Despite this, Arwen has no interest in him at all. She is sure that Eridor feels similarly about her.
  
  When Arwen was a younger woman, there was an accident involving her younger sister, Fierla. Fierla was rather neutral about the pact and she respected Arwen and Tharin's beliefs and decisions while she kept to the pact's lifestyle. Fierla was killed by a group of wood orcs. They had been harvesting wood and wild crops outside of their respective territory and Fierla tried to stop them. Tharin's involvement in this issue is unknown to Arwen entirely. He claims to have been trying to save Fierla. Because she was killed, the family had arranged to honor her efforts by feasting upon her body. However this never happened as Tharin had burned her body respectfully instead.
  
  Tywin had never liked his adopted son's beliefs or actions against the pact. He was called an Apostate by many of the Green Pact Bosmer within the grove, though he was never subdued. Tywin's form of punishing Tharin was disowning him and exiling him from the grove and from Valenwood altogether. Even though his banishment from Valenwood was not official, his adopted father's 'vow to kill him if he ever returned' was definitely official. Though Arwen knows that her brother will return to take her away from the life she is currently being subjected to.
