    Where have I been, and what have I done.. Lost within the fire for long enough to pass a lifetime and then some.. I felt that tug when he tried to kill himself. Worse than when he died on us...
    
    I never knew I could need a family so much.. but there I was on the most opportune night that I could possibly hope for. Acaeus had been up in his room and Tre had been dealing with a woman in the house. A woman scandalous for my brother but this was different. She was different. From the moment I stepped in I because Auntie and Sister.. but she had History Written all over her.

    A girl who looked more like a boy but her fire was unmistakable. Even if she tried to hold that angry ugly expression across her face she wasn't fooling me. With the way that she stood there, and the way that Acaeus was destroying things upstairs I could only assume that she was the reason. *It always was, wasn't it Acaeus?*
    
    He was busted up something fierce but worse when I got my hands on him. Violence is our language of Love. I could have gone easy on him but seeing him like that. I couldn't simply allow him not only to be rude to her, but the way that he was broken. Afraid as I was, it was time to squash this madness, my way. Let the fire of the Phoenix bind us. Let the eternal flame of our blood burn deeper than skin, deeper than blood, down to the very star stuff that made us. Let him remember. We are bound by fire now. I can hear you and feel you just as close as you can feel me. Don't forget this little brother. *Never Again will I stand to lose you* It probably should have come earlier than it did.
    
    I knew Tre had killed his truck years ago when Acaeus had tried to kill himself and my soul stone saved him and Auntie Mikeayla owed him a new one. This city though, it rife with strife. This city is teeming with the possibility of danger. I need to tread lightly.
    
    Officer Blaze, or Hikaru Miyamoto, or better, the truest name we know you by, Tahni... I've seen what this world has done to you As much as Hika-chan reminds me of myself, I know she's destined for so much more. More than ever, I want to help her. Knowing full well that this time she was thrown in Acaeus' path to complete the cycle. This time, it will not break. I cannot allow it.
    
    We'll put you back together... we'll make all the pieces fit.. even if you fight me, understand Little Ember, that I am the inferno. I am the heart of the fire, the brightest flame you will ever encounter. But we will build you up.
    
    Still, my family, I am home. I'm home to stay. We will grow stronger, bolder, brighter together.

    It matters most when it pulls at your soul. It matters the most when across time, something somewhere tells you that your little brother is dangerous close to a ledge. It matters enough to leave behind a husband asleep in our bed, a daughter asleep in her room, and two little boys that were a promise to a very old friend. I had done it once before, on a birthday wish to see what had become of the slave I believed in enough to bind our connection together in blood.
    
    Acaeus is my little brother whether he like it or not. He must continue to live, to fight. He is the blood of proud Spartans, and sometimes that breeds an unquestionable deal of heartache. I found him in a bar, getting pissed drunk and sideways. Leave it to him not to know who I am. Leave it to him to ignore all of the signs. I have to say, for the living fire to grant me such a mimic as this, I make for a really attractive human. I just hope it will never remain permanent. Two days on his couch with his service dog and I can already feel the itch to get something done.
    
    I have a few other things that fire has set into place, and perhaps they are graces over time from a former self that would know I need these things on my journey. Playing with time and dimensions are tricky, but apparently I'm a licensed and certified Therapist. It feels right. I've started to read up on things about this city. It is dangerous and harrowing. There are people suffering greatly here.. most of them Heroes.
    
    Well, it's time to take my place I suppose. Two days on Acaeus' couch. He's doing better, but he knows I watch him out of the corner of my eye. He knows I'm marking his steps, and taking stock of his moods. I won't leave his side until I know he's back on solid ground.
    
    I swore an oath to my little brother. I will not see that broken by his death, not when I could prevent it. I miss you Beo.
