• Description

  This about three and a half foot tall gnome has jet black eyes looking at you from his sun burnt face, crowned by dark green, nearly emerald hair protruding in all direction. He wears plate armor without decorations, simple design, no ornate accessories. In sharp contrast to that the hooked hammer he is holding in his hands. THis weapon is a piece of art, encravings covering all of its head, the hook shaped like the beak of some predatorial bird.

  As you sit down at the bar, suddenly the very intoxicated gnome to your right looks up and just starts talking
  
  Oy, someone to drink with. The name is Griznak. You know, I'm not from this desert. I mean, look at me, I'm a fucking gnome. And what a fucking gnome, I might add, if you know. *winks at the empty air*
  Anyways, I'm from the mountains far east from here, maybe you've heard of the Kingdom of the Seven Peaks? Yeah, didn't think so, but that's us.*burps*
  So now a couple years ago we decided to establish an embassy here, in this godforsaken desert. For trade, and such... I don't know. Our tinkerers did some neat things with that black powder of yours and suddenly we're all the best of friends. Me, being a little shithead, thought to myself, ey Griznak you know what, you've been seeking a chance for some adventure for all your life, so lets join this fucking delegation, for the hell of it. Biggest mistake of my life. I mean the way here was great, we killed all kinds of stuff. Bears, Trolls, if it's hairy and stinks, we've probably killed it. But then the desert and the sand ... the fucking sand.Like it got everywhere. EVERYWHERE!*starts to get agitated but calms him self down*
  So we get here eventually, Capital city and all, and I've got to say, lot less sand, so I've had that going for me, which was nice. And then the true horror began. So I was hired as a guard for the embassy, but not just for the way here. They gave me a contract that obliged me to serve as a guard for the embassy for ten goddamn years. If you ask me where a gnome belongs, it certainly isn't in direct sun, wearing plate armor. Got baked like fucking roast out there. And the sun wasn't the worst of it. No, what really killed me was the boredom. Like, you stand there next to the gate, always the same place, nod at the embassadors, always the same people, when they enter the building. So I had to find a way to survive this. And I found one. Playing pranks on those around me, so I would have something to do and something to watch. It was perfect. Once I smeared grease all over the shaft of this one guards spear and he nearly killed an embassador, or the time when I put tar into this other guards helmet and he couldn't get it off for like a week. Ah those were the fun times. *grins*
  And then couple of weeks ago, my masterpiece, planned it for weeks, but something went wrong and I was let go immediately and was lucky not to be thrown in jail for like a feet long list of things, but that story is too long for this evening, perhaps some other day. Anyway they let me keep the plate armor, understandable, when you consider what happened to it, and since I brought Maggy from home, *starts patting his giant hooked hammer that leans next to his chair*, I was perfectly equiped to become a mercenary. So now I try to earn enough to pay my debt back to the embassy, which is fucking loads of money, but ey, better than jail, and then enough to get on a caravan back home, away from this sun, this heat and all this goddamn sand.
