About Eli
Eli is pretty, but not in a classic way. She has stunning green eyes with waist-length auburn hair, that seems to have a mind of its own with its half-curly state. She is petite, only about 5'4", her body lithe and toned from constant outdoor activity, and complete with ivory skin.
Eli doesn't often draw attention to herself, but when interacting with others, she is usually bright, warm, and kind. Eli can be a bit sassy with those she is comfortable with and knows a good joke or two. She is very intelligent, though she tends to use it to get into trouble. As a self-proclaimed "problem solver," she loves a challenge and doesn't easily back down. She is rather impulsive when faced with difficult situations but usually listens to reason.
Elithana was raised by her aunt and uncle after the death of her mother at birth and the abandonment of her father. She was a bright child but was somewhat ignored by her guardians, who were busy raising their three boys. Eli bears no ill will to them; she shares a sibling-like bond with her cousins.
In a world with a very traditional family, the fact that Eli was a female is what truly had her set aside. She wasn't raised in a lady-like fashion and is very tomboyish as she grew up chasing after her cousins and learning the same things they did. Eli grew a very large independent streak that was complimented by stubbornness. Left to her own devices, though, Eli picked up several new talents, such as lock-picking, properly using weapons (daggers, mainly), stealth, hunting, and trapping... and pranks. A lot of pranks. She eventually had a neighbor named Mara who took Eli under her wing, teaching her more than illegal activities-- such as painting, proper behavior, and reading. Mara channeled Eli's pent-up energy and longing for attention into something worthwhile, and for that Eli is eternally grateful. -
