Premise: Erik Foxglove is head of the strongest mafia around today. Cut-throat and business savvy, he's near unstoppable. He's also very cynical about love. He thinks that it's a waste of effort and time. And far too often fake.
(Y/C) is an operative for the police, trying to help them shut him down. After joining Erik's mob, (Y/C) is quickly found out, and kept prisoner. Their only way to survive is to prove useful. But what would happen if (Y/C) became a true member of the mafia? Or if they earned a place in Erik's heart? What if Erik found himself genuinely valuing another person?
Note: (Y/C) can be any gender.

Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
Romance is expected but not required, and will be accompanied by other plot.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred. Will be played one-on-one.
