(1x1 with Farren)
The forest was alive, but not with the sound of music, or any woodland creatures. It was alive with the noise of hunters rushing through the woods and searching. Constantly searching. The forest was large and dense, but there were far too many humans in it for any of the forest creature's liking. Hunters everywhere, but not hunters of the normal sort. No, it was known that they were after one thing; a nymph.
A water nymph was found somewhere in these woods, supposedly. Now they wanted to find her again. And catch her. It was each man trying to get her for himself. They were all against each other, but they were all coming after her.

Bjolnorf followed the hunters as they passed by his camp, interested in all of the racket. He grabbed his iron battleaxe and slapped on his bloodstained iron spiked armor, beneath bearing chain-mail over studded leather. He looked like the true marauder, with his beard, weapon, and armor, of course.
Bjolnorf tailed the hunters and managed to catch one by himself, cutting him down. He didn't know if these people were bandits or bounty hunters sent by a kingdom after Bjolnorf's head, but he didn't care. His safety came first... After slaying the caboose hunter he tailed the others.

(Oh crap sorry! I was really out of it when I was writing this and I forgot to put in that this is already a closed 1x1. I'm sorry! Would you like to start our own in another topic? )
Maybe Laters
A young male watched the hunters with narrowed eyes, disdain yet intrigued quite expressive on his face.
They were disturbing the peace of the forest, and that clearly annoyed him. He didn't know why they were here, though...
That's what he intended to discover.

There was a group of hunters nearby where Farran was hiding. He'd easily be able to overhear their conversation. "We'll split it three ways, aye? That nymph will sell for a lot of money. They're rare." the one said. The other nodded. "Aye, three ways. We just have to make sure that we find her before the killers do! Can you believe some want to kill her instead of sell her?! Those idiots are losing out on bags of money!"
Farran widened his eyes in surprise, then anger.
"Sick. They're sick." He muttered under his breath. "They are all perverted, greedy monsters."
They dare to try and capture one of the great protectors of the forest, just to sate their greed?!
That conversation eliminated any doubts he had, and filled him with a rageful feeling.
"I'm not strong enough to take them down, though... I could fight one or two, but that would take too much attention."
He jumped off the branch, going away unnoticed.

The men were oblivious to the new enemy they had just made. Meanwhile, there were several lakes and ponds in the forest, but Farran probably had a good idea on which one would be the safest and most secluded. The one farthest away from the humans that were invading the forest.
The young male pondered his options as he dashed through the forest, jumping and making acrobatic moves in his way across the branches he used as his path. He didn't have the strength needed to defeat the hunters by himself, and he also was unaware of where this nymph was...
He only had a small idea of where she could be, yet he had to alert her to prepare herself, as fast as he could...
The feeling of dread grew as he started to get anxious...
"... I have to reach her in time..."

Farran was lucky. He stumbled onto the pond just when it was bubbling. Ponds don't normally bubble. The reason why showed up soon. The water at the edge bubbled quickly, and soon a creature came out of it. In fact, it looked like the water itself was rising up and taking a humanoid form. The water nymph. She saw him though, and as soon as she spotted him she jumped back into the water, seeming to melt right back into the pond water.
"W-wait!" The young male exclaimed, stammering. He couldn't help but curse himself at his nervousness.
He quickly approached the side of the pond, looking anxiously at the water, uncertain if the nymph would listen to his warning.
"T-there are some hunters looking around for you... T-they want to capture you and sell you as a slave..."
He gulped slightly, before continuing.
"Y-you should go away, before they find you..."
He breathed softly, and sat on the ground.

After a couple moments of silence, the nymph's head slowly came out of the water, watching him. "...I can't. They'd see me." She lifted a watery arm. She wasn't exactly something that could be stealthy, after all. "I just have to hide until they leave." Though Farran probably understood the stubbornness of humans. They wouldn't leave, not for a long time.
Farran shook his head, clearly understanding the nymph's message.
"... I am not sure if they would leave... Their greed and stubbornness is quite unmatched..."
He closed his eyes, appearing to think of a plan to disguise or hide the guardian's location.

The nymph looked around. "Then...what can I do?" She looked back to Farran. "..and why do you care?" Why wasn't he greedy or stubborn like the other ones? She didn't understand.
"...who are you?" That was probably a good question to ask.

The young male smiled softly at the question.
"My name is Farran... I'm a human living in this forest... Like all other Nature's children do..."
He sighed softly, as he resumed his response:
"I lived here by myself, ever since my parents... passed away..."
He shook his head quickly, as he was deviating off the main topic.
"Regardless, you should remain in hiding. Try to find any other water sources they wouldn't approach..."

The nymph tilted her head a little. "...Farran.." she repeated. When he spoke of another water source, she shook her head slightly. "There's only a couple creeks. The rest are ponds. The creeks are too far apart to risk traveling to with these men around."
She paused. "...do you have a jar?" Surely, he was humanoid, so he had to drink, so he must have some kind of flask, or jar, or waterskin!

"A... jar?" Farran parroted. He wasn't expecting such a question.
"... No, I do not have any jars... I only get the water from the river near where I live with an amphora..."
He remembered he... "borrowed" it from one of the hunters who were inside the forest long ago. It was quite big, but Farran thought the hunter never noticed he... "lost" it.

The nymph brightened. "An amphora? That will work! Bring it, quickly!" She ushered him off, waiting for him to come back with it. Then she'd be able to put herself in the amphora, and he could carry her around as if she were plain water!
Farran nodded.
"Alright... Stay hidden until then."
With that phrase spoken, he climbed up one of the trees and dashed away, heading for his home.
"... I hope she doesn't get into any trouble..."

The nymph sunk back into the water, watching him clamber through the trees. She was fairly silent for the most part, just staying as well-hidden as she could be during this time. She waited patiently, making sure to keep absolutely still whenever any movement was heard.
