Ven stopped, looking at it.The sandbox..their city was in that sand, gone. Some kids unlike them, and the other children that came, the younger children, never even got to come visit this park, and have fun.."10, or 11 years" Ven answered.
"..That's still so long.."Hiruko mumbled softly,10 or 11 years. What was the real difference in years,he sighed."Really is a shame.."He said again before he started walking around again. The same sand box.A fountain, that was the only thing new here, aside from the fence to keep people out.So far that's all that's added to the park, but everything had clearly aged after such a long time.
Ven silently nodded in agreement. It was a shame. But at least they got to visit the park again, even if it was closed. But despite that that gang was being jerks, they kinda had to hand it to them, for making a way into the park, also know as the whole is the fence.Ven wondered if deep inside, was that gang a group of kids that met at the park, and became friends, and just didn't want to give up going to the park, even if they misused the advantage.Ven followed Hiruko through the park.Swings and slides, the sandbox, and the fountain.See-saws and monkey bars..it was all unused now..
So many people didn't seem to realize what they were missing, what little kids were missing.Seems like this place isn't the only thing lost and forgotten.Hiruko mused darkly, his pale hand resting on the ladder to the monkey bars.Monkey bars,Hiruko still didn't get what was so great about these things, certainly not falling, nor getting blisters that young kids seemed so proud of.Humans were weird things.
Ven looked at the monkey bars.Honestly as a kid, he was to scared to go on those, after seeing so many human children fall off them, and break something, and cry for their moms. But now even if he stand to, he was to tall to.A little..
"You know,I never really liked these things.."Hiruko said,in hopes to end the long silence.Even he could take so much of utter silence, but that hardly happened.Maybe it meant that he was more willing to speak like when he was younger? That was a hopeful thought.
Ven looked at the monkey bar."They appear like they hurt..." Ven said..thinking of all the kids he's seen fall off them. He's seen one kid break her arm, one boy sprian his wrist, so much pain. Then again, he was one of those kids that would hang upside down from a bar on the playground, but he never hurt himself doing so.
"Can't disagree with that.."Hiruko agreed, looking up at the bars.Hiruko was the kid that would sit on the side, watching children attempt tricks such as hanging upside down from the bars. Some would fall and get hurt. Some would freeze and freak out, calling for their parents help. And then there were the ones that had little to no issues.Hiruko, however, saw no point in trying any of that 'fun' as other kids would say.
"So many kids falling off" he said.Ven would hang upside down, just to see the world from a reversed vision. To see it upside down.It always brought a smile to his face. Before he met Hiruko, and made a friend, and when the other foster children weren't around, he was good at finding ways to occupy himself, by himself. He would always come to the park alone, which did have its disadvantages, if he fell and got hurt, there would be no mom to call for, but he had fell plenty of times and hurt himself, and dealt with it alone..Rather at the park or not.Though he didn't do extreme things, like one kid stood on top of the tallest thing on the playground, and fell, and that kid really hurt them self.
"None of it seems worth ti to me.."Hiruko told Ven,he blinked a few times. When Hiruko was younger, and tiny he didn't much things in fear that he could get hurt. The chance of him getting stuck was slim, but he could slip in between things in a split second.Which meant he could he standing on the monkey bars one second, the next second he could fall with no time to react, defiantly not worth that pain.Of course he doubted that it would have amount to the pain of falling off a cliff or jumping off a building just to prove something."But not that bad."He said.
Even as kids, Ven was taller than Hiruko, but back then maybe by two inches. But even being taller, if he slipped and fell, he'd go through and hurt himself."Agreed" Ven said to it wasent that bad..it could be worse.
Hiruko sighed,he actual wondered what time it was at the moment."..was this here before I left?"He thought aloud,he didn't think it was..
Ven had a checkered watch on, if Hiruko wanted to know the time."It was..but it was being worked on, because a bar fell off it..and a screw" Ven responded.
"Oh.Yeah it's a good think they fixed it then."Hiruko said with a small wince,he pitted the person that found that out the hard way."..question,what time is it?"He asked Ven,he looked up at his tall friend.Hiruko wondered how his neck wasn't sore yet.
Ven wasent there when the kid found out the hard way, but he hoped they didn't get hurt to bad.Ven looked down at Hiruko, then looked at his black and white watch, "9:42" he answered.
"Wow,it really is early."Hiruko remarked,"Thanks."Hiruko looked at the bars again as if he was actual contemplating something. What could it hurt, just to try going across monkey bars just once?
Ven put his arm down."It feels like its later" Ven said.It felt like it was at least 11.At the least. He looked back at the monkey bars once more.
Hiruko nodded, and then started climbing on the ladder. He had made his choice,at least it wasn't stupid or reckless like a lot of choice he had made in his life.It was hard for it to be reckless when the ground wouldn't be too far for him.
Ven watched Hiruko.Well, that was ironic decession. After the discussion of 'all the people that get hurt on the monkey bars' Hiruko had decided to do it anyway.
