Ven looked down at the ground, his smile gone, it was weak after all.He felt his friend hug him, tightly.Very tight.Ven held his hands behind his back, and watched his one and only friend walk off with his mother."See you later, Hiruko.." he whispered.

A boy, maybe about 17 sat in an alley, with his back against a brick wall.He was hidden, but he was making people see things."I swear! There's an elephant flying in the sky!" The man ranted."I swear it! Its a green elephant with yellow wings!" He said.Everyone stared at the man, like he was insane.Ven broke out into laughter, oh this was hilarious!

A boy around 13 years old, pale skin and shocking blue eyes walked in a town all too familiar to him.A place he once called home, he didn't have many memory's here, but the one he did have defiantly counted for something.The boy had a cane,but he didn't really seem to use it for it's true purpose, instead he would swing it through the air at times.That was until he heard a man ranting about, what was he saying, an elephant with wings?
The boy took the liberty to walk over to the crowd of staring people, he moved people out of his way very casually.Actual, he acted as if they weren't even there.Hiruko Kagmine,he looked almost the same, just older, had fanged and oddly enough slightly pointed ears."Excuse me,sir, you say you saw an elephant with yellow wings?"The teenager inquired.

(I tried t add a bit of humor to what the man as seeing, imagine hearing a man preach that)
( I just thought italics fit with the mood of the kid scene being in the past)

"Yes! An elephant with wings! It was green and it had yellow wings! I swear it! I saw it! I know I saw it! They didn't, but I did! I'm not insane like the think! Its up there!" The man said pointing to the sky.Only that one man could see the elephant that Ven was making him imagine, using illusion.Whenever Ven used his illusion ability, his eyes were purple, but now a days, other than that, they were dark blue.He laughed at the man, secretly.

Hiruko pointed his cane at the sky where the man had pointed,"There?"He asked,looking up, but of course his blue eyes saw nothing.Hiruko rested his cane at his side, and leaned against the man,"Sorry sir,but I think it's time you took a small nap."Hiruko said, and then he muttered a incantation he often used to make people fall asleep.

(What's next crazy man?! Ducks made of blue cotton candy?)

"Yes!" The man says."Don't you see it?! It unlogical!" The man preached.When the boy mentioned a nap, the man said, "I'm not crazy like you all think! It! Is! Up! There!" He said.The man started to feel sleepy, then fell to the ground asleep.Every watched confused a second, but went on with their business."Oh that was good." Ven whispered to himself wiping a tear away.

Hiruko looked down at the now sleeping man,"I never said you were insane, I said you were tired."He corrected the man.Then the young teenager walked over to the ally way,"Having fun, are we?"Hiruko asked Ven before realizing who he was talking to.For a moment,his smile was gone as he leaned against his cane, this person..

The teenager looked up from where he sat, hearing a voice.Seeing a pale boy, with blonde hair.Vens eyes changed back to dark blue before the boy.He didn't reply.Something looked familiar about the boy before him..

The dream eater blinked,"..who are you?"He asked the other teenager.Those eyes, the way they changed from purple to an oddly familiar dark blue was defiantly something he remembered.There was a kid he use to play with, his first friend, and one of his last true friends.

"Venus" the teenager answered.He remembered playing with a kid who looked similar to the boh before him.Yet..was this the boy.?

Hiruko eye's widened,"Ven?!"He said, he seemed so stunned when he spoke.This was his friend from so long ago,he never would have thought that he would find Ven messing with someone.When they were younger he seemed so shy,Hiruko recalled that they were both pretty shy.

The name sparked Vens mind."Hiruko?" Ven questioned, like he could barely believe it.His eyes wide a little.It was obvious in a way that Ven wasent doing it to be mean really, just to find entertainment, to get a laugh, and maybe make others laugh..

"Do you know any others?"Hiruko asked Ven,he started to smile again.Not quite a grin,he wanted to hide what he was for a little while.Or why he was here, someone had called him for help, and of course he came to help.Hiruko knelt down,".Wow.."He said.

Ven shook his head."Nope your the one and only" he said.He smiled looking up at Hiruko.Man, in that many years it seemed Ven had got tall.Alot taller than Hiruko, but who cared? "Wow?" Ven questioned.

"Nothing, just a little stunned I suppose."Hiruko explained. He had already figured that Ven would be tall,maybe because he stopped aging at thirteen, and it was pretty common that people ended up taller than him.Unless they were children, if they were taller then him,Hiruko sighed at that thought, that would just be embarrassing.

Ven would probably look like a 17 year old for a long, long, long time.Just because of his sub species.He would live over 1000 years, but, he'd always look 17.Power of an illusionist! Or just a curse his species was stuck with..whichever one! "So..how you been all this time?" Ven asked.

Hiruko frowned,"...Well enough."He told Ven, and then waved a gloved hand,"I should be asking how you have been after I left."Hiruko wasn't exactly comfortable, nor proud of what he had down in the past.There were things he didn't mind sharing, but it could lead to other questions.

"Bored.." his said."Lonely to" he whispered lookin down.Even now, after all those years.Hiruko was the only friend he had made..kinda sad.A by whose going to graduate highschool in a year, who only had one friend throughout it all.Who wasent around.."But fair enough..." he said looking back up at Hiruko.

Hiruko's blue gaze was else were as Ven spoke to him, he was afraid Ven would say something like that.The small hope of him having it slightly easier then himself slipped out of his mind when Ven looked down."..I see, how unfortunate."Hiruko said, still finding it hard to look at Ven.Slowly, he did look at him, and then stood up,"My my,what a dark subject."He remarked.
